It's been an exciting past month to say the least.
I made some small changes but the biggest change was just being in an overall better headspace.
We've talked about how important that is early on in the channel's streaming days.
If you have things going on in life outside of the charts just know that those emotions will transfer into your trading.
It's important to understand yourself fully so you can identify when those outside forces may be affecting your trading. You don't need to take time off from trading, but you can do some things to help protect yourself. In my case you can see I sized down during April (the commissions were high due to trading micros.) Now fast forward into May I went back to trading my 1-2 minis.
With that being said you guys won't be seeing me for a little while...
The next time you do I will be a Dad!!!
I am super excited for this next chapter in life and I hope that you guys are still here to support me on the live streams when I get back. I don't have an exact date that I will be returning. If I had to guess, I'd say 1-2 months... maybe even three.
I hope this last post provides you guys with some value and you can take what I talk about into consideration.

Today I made some mistakes and it all comes back to breaking my plan. You can see on my Tradovate chart I entered before 6:45am PST and to try and save the trade setup I DCA on the way down which is a dumb decision to do during market open.
Right at the bottom of the range it came down into my AOI... right at 6:45am PST... when we are supposed to be taking NQ entries...
Everyday is a day to be better and when you clearly see the results of breaking your plan unfold in front of your eyes it's frustrating to say the least.
However, I can't let the mistake of breaking my plan hurt so bad that I don't pull the trigger on a setup that is following my trading plan.
I made roughly 3k off the 6:45am trade on the new 150k challenge. The rest of the day I scalped to get it to the 50% profit target mark. The job isn't done yet and I need to stay focused so we can get this 150k fully funded.
The other Apex account is still just waiting for the payout to be approved.
I wanted to make sure the community was updated so hopefully seeing this helps remind you how important your trading plan is! We can't be surprised by negative outcomes when we don't follow it!! ๐
I miss you YouTube and I hope that all of you guys are crushing it this week! I should be able to resume the live streams with you guys on the 20th for a couple weeks before the baby is here.

How was the month of March for you guys?
NFP week hurt at the beginning of the month for me. At the time I was trading with anywhere from 1-2 minis. After my losing week I dropped the risk down to trading micros.
Even while trading micros I was able to end the month in profit. It wasnโt much profit but still a profitable month. I was stoked on my performance and consistency to dig myself out of that hole. It felt like an eternity but I need to realize I was only trading with 1/4 of the risk I was using to take the loss during NFP week.
The plan for April is still the same. Trading micros across both my Apex accounts and focusing on those base hits.
I will be taking a couple more top step challenges this month and focus on getting those funded. My Topstep accounts will be used to trade with more size.
