Sometimes, things happen, and there is just no hope of a rational explanation. Improbable events unfold in succession. You feel a touch when nobody is around. You drop a pencil, and it never reaches the floor. Rational explanations are abound, but the circumstances never fit. The slightest threat to the paradigm our society has created in regards to many things solicits hostile interaction, where what is 'scientific' and 'impossible' are used as knives to cut the tendons of any free thought form, rendering the thinker lame and unable to spread their message. We all assume we are so intelligent, that our intellects will guide us to success and transcendence, and greater understanding. Yet, we fear to acknowledge our own faults and errors, even when they are blatant, verifiable as errors, and observably incorrect (ie Piltdown Man). The truth is, we know absolutely nothing, and to assert anything else is... Well, incorrect.
