Last month, GBH News and PRX's "The Big Dig" podcast was recognized for outstanding preservation and storytelling by the Boston Preservation Alliance at the 36th Annual Preservation Achievement Awards in Boston. Every year, the Alliance selects a sample of buildings and educational resources that demonstrate the many ways that preservation adds vibrancy to our city.
BPA Executive Director Alison Frazee: "Utilizing an accessible platform, The Big Dig podcast illuminates the complicated process of community activism and advocacy, the broad impacts of decisions often made by those who are shielded from the consequences, and the lingering skepticism of communities who felt cast aside, which still impacts Boston neighborhoods today."
