மெய்யெழுத்துகளை வட்டமிடுக என்ற பாடத்தை ஹரி நாராயணன் எழுதி வந்தான். விடுபட்ட ஒரு மெய்யெழுத்தைச் சுட்டிக் காட்டி இதற்கும் வட்டமிடு என்றேன். மேலே புள்ளி உள்ள எழுத்துகள் எல்லாம் மெய்யெழுத்துகள் என்றேன். ஈசல் என்ற சொல்லில் ஈ என்ற எழுத்தைச் சுட்டிக் காட்டி, இதில் புள்ளி இருக்கிறதே. இது மெய்யெழுத்தா? என்றான். அப்படியே ஆடிப் போயிட்டேன்.

இன்று பேராசிரியர் ஒருவர், Online course, Offline course ஆகியவற்றைத் தமிழில் எப்படிச் சொல்வது என்று கேட்டிருந்தார். இணையவழிப் படிப்பு, நேரடிப் படிப்பு எனச் சொன்னேன். online mode, offline mode என்பதை எப்படிச் சொல்வது என மீண்டும் கேட்டார்.

இணைய இணைப்பில் ஏதும் சிக்கல் எழுந்து, துண்டிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள நிலையில், நான் இப்போது இணையமில்லா நிலையில் இருக்கிறேன் எனலாம். என்னிடம், இணைய இணைப்பே இல்லை. கணினி, செல்பேசி உள்ளிட்ட இதர வழிகளில் கற்பிக்கிறேன் எனில், இணையமல்லா வழி எனலாம். இதைக் கணினிவழிப் படிப்பு என்றும் அழைக்கலாம். என்னிடம் இணைய இணைப்பு இருக்கிறது. நான் இணைய விரும்பவில்லை எனில், நான் இணையாநிலையில் இருக்கிறேன் அல்லது இருக்க விரும்புகிறேன் எனலாம். இணையவழியில் இல்லாமல், நேரடியாக அங்காடிகள், நிறுவனங்களுக்குச் செல்வதையும் ஆப்லைன் என்பர். எனவே, ஆப்லைன் என்பதற்குத் தமிழில் நான்கு வகைப் பொருள் உண்டு. இடத்துக்கு ஏற்ப, தேர்ந்தெடுத்துப் பயன்படுத்தலாம்.

We are getting numerous business / spam calls everyday; spending much time to know who is the caller & why they called; then we are saying Not Interested. This is wasting countless work hours. How to solve this issue?
We need to create a caller profile first with name, location, organisation (if applicable). Before dialing a number, the caller app should prompt a query to fill: Purpose of the call. Every call should have these basic details: Caller Profile & Purpose. When we dial, the screen should show Caller name, phone number, location & purpose of the call instead of showing only caller phone number. Knowing caller details is not an additional service; it is a fundamental right of the receiver.
We can ease this process from the telecom operator level. When a SIM card is used in a phone, the operator should automatically call all basic details of the caller from the KYC documents he / she provided. Only additional detail the caller needs to fill is the purpose of the call. If we get to know the purpose of the call, we can decide whether to pick or reject the call. We can set filters to reject calls automatically, which we did not require. This will save huge time not only to the receiver; also the caller. They will know who is interested & selectively make their calls.
Even for landline calls, basic details can be shown. If they can't type from a landline phone, the telecom operator can give a list of purposes along with a number, similar to IVR (Like Personal, Bank, Government, Business..). The caller should select a number near to their purpose. This detail can be shown on the receiver's screen.
If the caller lies in their purpose, the receiver can make a complaint on or after the call. TRAI should take severe action on them with a penalty.
Caller's input language should be translated / transliterated (names) to receiver's desired language or his / her phone's default language.
I request TRAI to implement this process.
