The SEC campaign couldn’t have come at a better time. I was in a season where God was calling me to step out, yet unknowingly, I was hiding in fear, thinking I was just “preparing.” I kept busy with tasks to shape myself into a vessel, but in reality, I was running from The very thing God was calling me to do. It took the Holy Spirit, through a friend, to reveal that I’d become a “boat potato”—and that’s where my journey of stepping out began.

The SEC program became my guide; each week aligned so closely with my experience, giving me steps to take. I was called to start a ministry, Lifefull, to help believers live free and fully in Christ. My first event, Unmasking the Real You, was planned in just three weeks—without reserve funds or resources, but with a strong will and faith. The journey was overwhelming, yet the call to walk on water fueled my eagerness to see God work.

Early on, I met with Rev. Pitson, who offered perspective on the challenges ahead, which, though initially discouraging, deepened my reliance on God. His advice to pray as Peter did—“Lord, if it is you, command me to come”—helped confirm my call. Through a documentary that appeared in my feed, God gave me the urgency to press on, and as I shared this with Rev. Pitson, he, along with our community, supported me.

The SEC program had prepared me for the storms that followed. Rev. Shiramba’s words reminded me that I walk on water not by my strength, but through God’s. Galatians 2:20, “I no longer live, but Christ lives in me,” became my anchor verse, helping me shift from insecurity to His strength. God showed up powerfully—the event was a success, bringing many testimonies and marking the start of Lifefull. Looking back, I can only say, “That was all God.”

If you’re still contemplating stepping out, trust God. You don’t need to be fully prepared—His power completes our weakness. With faith and courage, you’ll walk on water as long as your eyes are on Jesus.
