Due to an edit mistake - last nights' video could not go live. The video will instead be uploaded today, as there was no chance to upload it in time for yesterday's deadline.

Thank you all for your patience! 🎈

I just came back from a trip to Dublin. They seem to have a lot of Viking-related activities there too! 🤩

Working the same job for 10 years is a long time to many people.

Working the same job for 10 years at 24 years old is, without a doubt, a long time.

When a passionate & creative, yet shy, 14-year-old me decided to create a YouTube channel, I could never have predicted that it would go on for 10+ years.

According to studies, most people stop uploading videos after a few months, due to the time it takes to reach a certain amount of subscribers/views. For me, I was never going to let that happen.

Uploading to YouTube has gotten me through a lot of my personal struggles: Depression, being bullied, sickness and heartbreaks.

YouTube gave me a platform to express myself on and gave me a ‘happy place’, during times in which I was struggling.

I never got to making a video about my YouTube journey up until this point…but a 10-year anniversary might be the perfect time to do so.

Yet, 171.000 subscribers and 100 million views later, here we are.

10 years of Vikinger. 10 years of my happy place. Excited to be creating content.

Back when I started YouTube, I uploaded gaming commentary videos. The name of my channel back then was GeruloGaming, which I changed to Vikinger at a certain point.

Throughout the years the uploads changed from Dutch to English content and from gaming commentaries to a variation of content. In recent years, most videos were about the TV show: Vikings.

As it is my passion to travel, explore and see new things (and as I studied tourism), I am planning on releasing content about travelling in the future as well.

It would give me a perfect excuse to explore the world! 😉

Without the support of many people along the way, I would not be in the position I am currently at.

I want to thank my family for giving me a possibility to follow my dreams, and for supporting this dream.

I also want to thank fellow YouTubers, creators of all kinds who I have worked with, companies that I have had partnerships with and friends that I have made throughout the years.

And most of all: I want to thank my subscribers.

Without each and every one of you, I would not be where I am today.

Thank you.

Justin, Vikinger
