History of Islam is the history of political, social, economic, military and cultural development of Islamic civilization. Islamic civilization originated in the Arabian Peninsula in the seventh century and later spread to many parts of the world. Most historians[1] believe that Islam originated in Mecca and Medina in the early seventh century through Muhammad.[2] Muhammad is the prophet of Islam. He was born in Mecca and received his first revelation from Allah in 610 AD. He began his mission in Mecca and Medina, where he preached the teachings of Islam. Muslims consider this period as a return to the original religion sent by the Abrahamic prophets. The Abrahamic prophets are Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Solomon and Jesus.
