Happy New Year!! By now, you may have caught on to the fact that I've had a change in my life.
After 4 years of planning, my partner and I have moved the UAE. As a result of this, you are going to see changes in the content on this channel. I will still be posting UK relevant financial content, but the scenery in the videos will be different.
I pondered long and hard about whether or not I should make the change so obvious. Will I still be deemed to be relevant, will anyone still watch are some of the questions I've tussled with. I could have setup a room to shoot from and kept it quiet like other UK financial YouTubers who live here have, but I felt that would have been disingenuous. The truth is, I'm pursuing a better quality of life personally, and life extends past what I do here on YouTube.
So, it will be business as usual here. Content every week, and I'm making a commitment to be more consistent and intentional with the content. Unfortunately, Q&As are likely to be a thing of the past because of the time difference, but you never know.
Finally, I am creating a separate channel where I'll be sharing my journey in the UAE. That channel will be a combination of Vlogs and a new podcast and life, entrepreneurship and business. If you're curious to see what it's really like to live in Dubai, how to set up a business, invest in property, build and run a business, plus everything in between, drop me a subscribe @MyDXBDiaries
Thank you for all your attention these past 4 years and helping me live a dream.

On Monday's episode of the podcast, we spoke about HMRC, fractional shares and ISAs. At the time i didn't know that this was something the Financial Times are looking and seeking clarity on from The Treasury. They published an article online today exploring the topic. Providers like Freetrade are urging the Treasury to provide clarity on their position in The Autumn Statement. To influence this and have your say you can use the link below, but you must do so by October 13th.
I will be a providing an update this evening on this, join me at 6:30pm.

I didn't quite know how I would feel in this moment. I just received the first physical copy of my book and it finally sunk in, it's real. I am officially a published author with no less than HarperCollins Publishers, the 2nd largest book publisher in the world.
If only I could go back in a DeLorean and show this to the version of me who was sleeping on the streets. Life is good!

Over the past three years, many people have asked me if I would ever write a book. It's always been a dream of mine, and that dream comes true today.
On March 16, 2023, I will publish my book, The Money Basics: How to Become Your Own Financial Hero, with HarperCollins, the second-largest book publisher in the world. This book will help individuals of all ages and backgrounds become their own financial heroes by following my BASIC formula. The book covers my journey and the harsh lessons I've learned personally through my 15-year career; in retail banking, corporate banking and wealth management. The formula delves into important financial principles; Budgeting, Avoiding Debt, Saving Early, Investing Early and Credit Scores. It takes you through tasks and practical exercises in setting goals and laying the foundations for meaningful financial security.
On a more personal note, I want to thank you for your support and for being part of my journey. I never imagined the homeless foster kid would ever get to do this. I want this moment to reaffirm that with determination and a never-die attitude, nothing is impossible. If you take nothing else from this post, I hope it inspires you on your journey today

Rishi Sunak recently proposed making maths compulsory till the age of 18. I'm joined my mathematician, TV Personality and former teacher, Bobby Seagull to discuss Maths and it's place in Financial Literacy. Should Financial Literacy and Financial Education be taught separately to maths. Join me live at 8pm - youtube.com/live/fwIj8DdrlD8

It was my birthday yesterday. I’m one year older and hopefully wiser, but I worked and throughout the day a thought kept running through my mind. A good number of years ago (more than a couple of decades) I was homeless but I'm here. I'm here on the set of TV show, working on my birthday. I am so grateful for the journey I’ve been on. It’s just goes to show, how you start doesn’t dictate how you end.
Thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes in the comments section of Mondays video.
