Going nowhere fast...
Part of the problem with society today is everything is moving entirely too fast. You wonder why you feel like you are always stressed, feeling ill, irritated and stuck in "go" mode. We are literally trying to keep up...but keep up with what exactly? Growing older quicker? That's exactly what all the stress is leading to (aging in fast forward motion).
There's no amount of skin cream or magical product that will...

Breastfeeding is natural, yes. But like most things, it is a learned skill.
Yes you can skip these things and come out ok breastfeeding. However, you may find it difficult as you encounter challenges you aren't sure how to navigate. Challenges that can make you feel discouraged to the point of quitting.
The more you can learn about breastfeeding ahead of time, the better off you will be. Don't wait until baby is born...the postpartum period is a full body experience, there is a lot of newness and sacrificing taking place and the easiest thing to give up on (due to lack of knowledge), is breastfeeding.
If you are interested in a free trial of our 2 hour breastfeeding class, put "interested" in the comments or send an email to info@postpartumlifestyle.com
Wishing you all the best on your journey💜

Where did the village go?
When the woman is pregnant, she is showered with love, advice, gifts, you name it.
As soon as baby is born...complete silence. We have to do better.

Negative energy is not productive to the healing process.
This time is not about you, it's about:
🦋the mom/birthing person, who just experienced what could be considered major trauma to the body
it's about...
🦋a new born who has entered into an environment they have never been in before
it's about...
🦋a spouse or supporter who is trying to support their friend/client/ family.
Extend this family your respect. They are in a period of adapting and healing.

Resist the urge folks...
(www.mother.ly) said it best, "There's nothing more magnetic than a pregnant belly".
I've read a few reasons that people may be drawn to touch a pregnant belly...buut my message here is simple, resist the urge, respect the woman's space.

Welcome to the Perinatal Lounge with Gioi
A Postpartum Lifestyle production
Thank you for being here.
Inside this space, we talk about it all: pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum, and what life really looks like after the baby is born.
I know how easy it is to feel like you’re out here doing this alone. But I promise, you're not.
I created this show to share what I’ve learned, what I’ve seen, and what I’ve lived, alongside interviews with local moms, professionals, and community members who’ve walked these roads too.
This is a space for stories, support, and staying informed. Because maternal health doesn’t stop at pregnancy, or birth, or even postpartum. That’s only part of the journey.
And the journey? It’s still unfolding, for me, for you, for all of us.
