Tried out the Hasselblad XCD 35-75 with my wife today. It’s VERY bloody good; a great walk-around lens.
I just finished a 4-day photography challenge in Queenstown, New Zealand, that I can’t wait to share with you. Despite owning two Hasselblad XCD lenses, I shot the vast majority of my best images with an old Leica 80-200 R-mount lens and a Voigtlander 21mm M-mount lens. The images shown here are all snaps taken with my iPhone. This place is landscape photography heaven!
I'm planning to create an affordable (under $100) 60-minute workshop on one of these topics. Which one would you like to learn?
Hi folks. I’ve decided to take an extended break from YouTube (creating and consuming) so I can spend a bit more time with my wife & son. The first pic is me at Tommy’s junior school graduation. I also want to visit my mum more often (the pic of the tree with Melbourne way off in the distance - where I live - is a favourite view near her house). The last pic shows a new skill I’ve decided to learn, and my first week has been very exciting (and profitable)! I have a few videos in the works, and will return soon. I hope you’re happy and well. 🙂👍
I ditch the tripod in this week's video, but getting to my location proves more adventurous than I expect! Some waffling about dying, too. Again...
Nothing from me right now. Spending time with the family, walking local areas, and getting my arse kicked in Scrabble. Will return soon. How grown-up is Tommy looking?! Bloody hell.
Many people shy away from touching politics, but the Jan 6 Committee transcends politics. As a fellow human being living outside the US, I sincerely hope everyone who cares about decency and honour makes time to watch the utterly composed Liz Cheney summarise the events so far.
I teach what I've learned so far about landscape and car photography (35+ years), but my sneaky goal underneath it all is to encourage those of us in our mid-years to enjoy our lives more; to live deliberately. After all, life is short, and it's incumbent on each of us to LIVE while we're alive.
MY BACKGROUND
******************
I shot and wrote for motoring magazines and manufacturers in the '80s & '90s before moving into software. Throughout my varied career, I’ve had many passion projects (including writing a short book, building and running three blogs, and creating a podcast of more than 100 episodes). I also did a long stint as an active property investor before the sh*t hit the fan and I lost everything (except my sense of humour).
Today, I enjoy making videos about things that make me, and hopefully you, happy. Because, back to that old chestnut, life is bloody short! 🦘
