Hi, I'm James (he/him). My channel was previously Hermit Banana Crab back when I posted my first video and made up a name real quick, and it wasn't really a channel - hey it still isn't but I can dream can't I?
I've played around with different names (James of the Voiceless Dragon in reference to a favourite book: The Gone Away World by Nick Harkaway) but I'd be thinking about Student Of Eleos as a good name for a while, and after "Eleos" it turned up in Episode 1 of Picard Season 3, I made up my mind.
Eleos "was the personification of mercy, clemency, compassion and pity" which are values I hold dear, even though I can only aspire to be student of them, and I definitely don't claim to be perfect!
Hermit Banana Crab was a short video entry I made for #HomeTasking a series of challenges set by the creator of TaskMaster which was the inspiration for my first video essay.
New video finally made and uploaded, only took two years to write and put together, I'll speed up a bit next time
