After all the recent feedback about QM2’s planetarium being ‘out of service’ last year, I reached out to recent QM2 travellers who confirm it’s back up and running. I also asked Cunard about the planetarium, and they provided this info: “Cunard will continue to offer a Planetarium show in the Illuminations Theatre once a week. In addition to this, we are excited to continue with a range of immersive and innovative shows in the Illuminations Theatre, including three new 3D shows – Journey to Space, T.REX, and Ocean Paradise. “.

Cunard Themed Gala Evenings: A LOT of people have been messaging me about Cunard supposedly stopping their theme nights. So I reached out to Cunard’s PR team to clarify. They sent me this to share with you all: “Gala Evenings are a highlight of the Cunard voyage experience, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy a glamorous night at sea in beautifully themed surroundings. We’ve recently confirmed the schedule of Gala Evening themes for all voyages through to April 2026. Guests can look forward to our four signature themes—Black and White, Red and Gold, Roaring 20s, and Masquerade. Additionally, for voyages in Alaska, we offer a special Ice White Ball exclusive to that region.” @CunardLineOfficial #cunard #cruisenews

Queen Elizabeth Update: Thanks to Hacy Tobias, Jane Robinson and Sue Vaughan for providing us with these photos of the refurbished Queen Elizabeth following the refit. Many of you have asked me if Cunard is having me aboard to document the changes for all the Cunard fans. Unfortunately my request to tour the ship was declined. However my friend and fellow Cunard fan Dave Oakes will be aboard the ship soon, so keep an eye out for a video. Photos show: Queens Room, Commodore Club and Garden Lounge. Today I toured the beautiful Fred Olsen Bolette and I absolutely loved the ship. A real gem, she had a warm and friendly feel about her and Fred Olsen have showcased so much of their rich maritime heritage aboard. She had far more nods to maritime history than many of the other ships I have travelled aboard do - so I was right at home! Keep an eye out for a tour video soon!
