Regarding the future of 'Duelist Cup Adventures' Series:
First of all, thank you for those who have followed the journey until now. This was initially started as an experiment to see if I can try to showcase my own gameplay, while trying to show that every format could still be enjoyable. While that has always been the case, this format has made me realized some things.
The way I try to interpret my series is different than your usual replay channels, I directly show every live decision to give you an easier view of my decision-making. It's easier to put out comments when making a live decision rather than a replay where everything is going slightly faster, since it doesn't show delays to see if my opponent has a legal response whenever I play or activate a card.
Now as we all know, this format is currently dominated by 2 types of decks: Tearlaments and its counters. Most people at later stages are opting to play either Tearlaments, or any form of floodgate turbo and/or any decks that could viably run shifter, d. fissure, and macro cosmos. When you keep only facing the latter decks, it's proving to be difficult to make those kinds of duels look fun, especially when the goal of the series is to 'have fun'. The other type of thing I should mention is the types of duel where either one of the players instantly scoops when they either brick and/or their opponent sets up a full negate / floodgate board. While that could be funny at some occasions, from a content perspective it's just not that good.
As for the reach of the videos, I do realized from the very beginning when I made this series that the viewcount will not be as significant as my other videos, but at the same time it brought in a lot of new viewers as well, which is one of the reasons why I didn't stop making this series. But the most important part is that I was still having fun while editing these videos, looking at my terrible misplays and questioning my decisions. That hasn't been the case for this season. At the earlier level it was still 'fun', but when I reach the last stretch of the event, it started to feel more like a chore rather than something I do out of passion for fun. At that time, I realized that it's time to stop.
tl;dr The "Adventures" series will stop here. BUT, in the future Duelist Cup or WCQ, or even other MD events, I will still make a video about it, but I planned it to be some sort of 'montage' of the decks that I used instead of what you are seeing now. Though it'll be easier to show when the time comes rather than explaining it.
I have plans for the future, and I'm not stopping here.
