After getting monetized during my second month on Youtube, you might be wondering why I'm changing up my content now? The answer is pretty simple: I can't help but share my true, nerdy-food-loving-history-buff self with you guys.
While I've enjoyed sharing my travels, and the process of moving abroad as an American expat, I'm shifting my focus to stories from history that are at once delicious and intriguing, with a new historical recipe posted every other week.
Drop a comment down below to let me know which part of the world you're from, and I might make a food/cuisine history video on it!
Thank you so much to all of you who have followed along since January, your support means so much to me. And if you're new here, thank you for the sub and welcome!!
AND if you're not following me yet...go ahead and give into your nerdy side and subscribe please :) I promise delicious recipes, anti-colonial tangents and the odd bit of travel here and there, in return.
**NEW VIDEO coming this Friday!! It's the story of the one of the most warming and comforting foods you can imagine, that has been eaten on the subcontinent for thousands of years. It's also in this picture. Can you guess which one?

Hey friends! Pausing my summer mango consumption to hop on here again. I know it's been a while, and I've missed posting new content and interacting with you guys. Adjusting to life (and the heat) in Karachi has been a rollercoaster for sure.
BUT I have a brand new video coming at you tomorrow! Be forewarned, this is very different from my usual kind of content, but I love it and I hope you do as well. Any guesses what it could be?
Salam :)

Musafir means 'traveler' in Urdu, Arabic and Persian. To me it's more than a word.
It's deciding to trade my California suburban life for a nomadic one.
It's choosing to be content with less.
It's allowing myself to slow down.
It's pushing myself beyond my comfort zone.
It's being present for the moments, big and small, that make up life.
It's strangers showing me that the world is full of good, kind and loving humans.
I've been traveling the world full time with my husband and kids for almost two years, and I'd love to share my experience with you.
Join me on my journey to live intentionally, explore new cultures and find new meanings for home, all over the world.
