Happy New Year everyone! January is George's Birthday Month so I bought him a Bee Hive! Read all about it here: thebakerfarm.com/farm/lets-talk-about-bee-hives/
Hello everyone, Cyndi here wanting to give you all an update on our lives. As you may have noticed, we haven't posted a video in some time and it's because George's mom has been very ill. She is now in the care of hospice and we are spending as much time as we can with her. It's tough. There is also a beloved niece and nephew expecting their first child with a difficult pregnancy. These things happening during the holidays are a bit overwhelming but we will continue to pray and know that God is good and rich in love.
Hi everyone, If you want to read about our chicken getting bumblefoot, check out my post: thebakerfarm.com/chickens/bumblefoot/

We are finally getting some cooler weather here in zone 8b and just in time for Thanksgiving!! I love the holiday season very much. Since it is very hot here in the summer, our hens are all heat tolerant so to make sure they all get the nutrients they need during the cooler seasons, we give them a daily dose of GrubTerra soldier fly larvae and they love it. It is a great source of vitamins for healthy feathers and stronger eggs too.
We have a $10 off coupon to share with you from our blog...You should use it to see if your hens love these treats as much as ours do. The link above is to the blog with the GrubTerra coupon.
♥Enjoy!♥
Welcome to The Baker Farm where we raise some chickens and keep a garden all in an effort to be more self-sufficient even while working a 9-5 job. Let us help you grow your own vegetables and gather your own eggs because we believe you reap what you sow.
