Given my e-bike batteries are 5,4,3 years old I found its time for a new one. This time I'm going with LG 21700 cells.
A 21700 battery generally has a higher energy density compared to an 18650 battery, with the 21700 typically offering around 20% more energy density per unit volume due to its larger size, allowing it to store more energy in the same space; a typical 21700 battery might have an energy density around 300 Wh/kg while an 18650 battery might have around 250 Wh/kg.

The new thru axle e-bike build is going great with a few minor complications.
My chain slipped off the small 11t gear on my boost converted wheel today. So I have now ordered a 29 inch boost wheel set with the help of AliExpress.

Given my recent and past fails because of the quick release wheel system. I am now building a new bike to mount the BBSHD on. The Trek will be turn back into a normal non-e-bike.
The frame I have on order has thru axle. The fork has a thru axle as well.
