In 2021, I was fortunate to receive the Mastercard Foundation scholarship at the University of Edinburgh, and it completely transformed my life. I've witnessed incredible personal growth since then.
Before winning this scholarship, I faced numerous rejections from other scholarship applications I made. It was a tough journey, but I kept pushing forward. 💪

A simple Android phone that I had access to, transformed my life.
With my Tecno Povouir 2, I was able to browse the internet to search for scholarship opportunities.
I was able to download Google Docs to write my essays.
I was able to use Chrome to submit my application.
I was able to download Zoom to attend my interview.
My Android phone lifted me from Nigeria to the UK, to study on a fully funded scholarship in a top world university.
Today's International Women's Day speaks on the importance of bridging the digital gender gap. Connecting a girl to the internet can transform her life and her community, but data says that 37% of women still do not use the internet (United Nations, 2023). Bringing women into technology results in more creative solutions and has greater potential for innovations. Today, make a commitment to connect a woman to tech. Let's start the change from our little spaces.
