laura_minutelife is simulacra, a rudimentary manipulation of curt fragments from a somewhat more truthful stock of daily recordings. Every 10 days or so I paste together some snippets from that bulk in the form of a synopsis.
It's somewhat auto voyeuristic, perspective shifting, and exploits the appeal of an (indirect) glance into my own ramshackle life. Basically, an experiment dealing with twisting self awareness. This blabla aside, I must confess also that I like the quick fix I get from using jumpcuts, a luxury I can rarely afford. Fast editing and structural incohesiveness define Minutelife.

PS. If you are working on something similar, or are tempted to have fun doing a clip on the lines of what you saw, send it to me and I'll post it here, it doesn't have to be HD or fast edited, it just has to be representative to you, include you, and be under 60 seconds. Use this adress - lauraminutelife@gmail.com ( or pm me if you have questions ).
Try not to show generic things, be more specific, more detailed, and as inartificial as possible.
This project is not a contest of who has the best clip.
If you are going to include music, uncopyrighted material would be ideal or music made by you or friends ( since Youtube has started removing vids that contain mainstream songs and such ) This is just in case you want to be on the safe side, I'll post anything anyway.

"Your image, as jpegs on photo sharing sites, or mpegs on YouTube, is not really you at all. It is the computational attempt by the outformation construct to replicate you in the domain of its own nature. It is your clone, living its own life of primitive consciousness. Interacting with people executing text searches against your name. They do not watch you or view pictures of you, they view the computational simulation of its best attempt at signalizing you. These images are your media doppler."
