I wrote this last night when I should've been sleeping.❤️☺️
On my last post about ARFID, so many parents spoke out about their experiences with their children, and the struggles of living with this condition. It got me thinking about how much my parents have gone through, and how grateful I am to have their support.❤️
Parenting is the hardest job on earth. (from what I have seen, of course I don't have any experience😁) For parents of autistic children, it can be monumentally more challenging. It can also sometimes be a lifelong commitment, as some autistic people may need lifelong care.
(I myself may be in this category, and that is OK!)❤️
Parents of special needs kids, and parents of neurodivergent kids in general face similar challenges. And parents who themselves are neurodivergent, or have special needs themselves, face even more intense challenges! Special mention to you! (Mom!❤️❤️)
You all deserve to be celebrated!❤️❤️
