Silva Hakobyan (Armenian: Սիլվա Հակոբյան) is an Armenian popular singer.
Silva entered the contemporary Armenian show business in 2006 with the hit song “The Night”, which won numerous prizes and was accepted as one of the biggest hits of year. In the same year Silva with her song “I Like” participated in London in the BBC “The Next Big Thing” global competition and among around 2000 participants, was awarded the grand prix by the decision of the world known members of jury. According to the BBC rating Silva was named the best young singer in the world. In the same year Silva was announced The Best Musical Finding of the year in the course of the national musical competition. In 2006 in Moscow, Silva won the prize of Musical Competition “Tashir”. Later, the same year she won a prize in Los-Angeles, where the song “Gisher e” was announced the best.
