Stress!
Now that the tax season is ending, I can relax... Although, there is still a lot of work to be done!
Something I have constantly struggled with is stress. It's not easy to manage or prevent it.
However, a BIG no-no for all accountants should be not to let stress impact your commitment and integrity of your work. Don't rush accounts, calculations, or tax returns as you are stressed and overwhelmed. Being responsible for a manageable workload is a must for a compliant and competent accountant... Enough said!

The best accounting package?
Many years ago, when I had more hair and weighed less, I started my accounting qualifications. The software we used was Sage 50 Accounts. I would later become a Sage trainer, helping businesses with Sage Instant and Sage 50 Accounts. I loved it, but to be honest, there was no alternative, Sage had the monopoly.
As time passed, QuickBooks Online become my favourite. It seemed quicker and less clunky than Sage. Nowadays, Xero is my favourite. I find it the most user-friendly with all the features I need as an accountant, but I still use all three.

The deadline!
Another tax deadline is approaching (31 January 2025). I've nearly made it! I aged 10 years the last 2 weeks, but I've nearly done it! π
Only joking, it's been very manageable, and I have room for new clients, if you need assistance.
Now that's over, expect more videos. The first will be uploaded this week!

On a similar note, one of my New Year's resolutions is to save more money this year, cut back on costs, and simplify life. Living on a budget will help with this. Creating a budget using Excel is one of the courses on my list for 2025.
