Happy New Year!
Soooo I was debating on making a video, but honestly, I really don't want to. So whoever sees it, sees it.
As you all know starting around last year, I hit a huge burnout with making reaction videos. I would upload here and there, but I said that I didn't care to do them anymore. But once the year wrapped up, I was like "You know what? I'm going to commit and continue on the grind." Because I had many creative aspirations that I wanted to share with y'all and put y'all on to. I thought that if I just fulfilled the need for reactions/reviews it would open the door to me showing off my new creative endeavors. But in reality, it just made me even more demotivated because of the amount of time it actually takes to make these reactions (and work-life balance wasn't on my side) lol
So with all that being said, I'm going back on another hiatus. And it's mostly due to the fact that I don't like making reaction videos, I've been doing them for almost 5 years (I'll go insane doing the same thing every time), and I don't have any other video ideas that could take over that niche. I think the community we built is beautiful, but I just can't push myself to make very half-assed content for the sake of dropping content. It'd be a disservice to y'all, even though I feel like I've been doing y'all dirty with a lot of vids this year already. On top of that, I just honestly hate the music discourse right now. And I have nothing to say about it. Really this channel was built upon having something to say or share, but I honestly don't have anything of substance and I'm not inspired by it at all. Could also be a product of the mid that's been dropping this year, but even then, when a year has been mid, I've always had a thought for a video idea. I'm really only inspired by other avenues, and unfortunately, this isn't one of them. Y'all know I manage an artist, and I want to put my full effort into developing him and continue to grow the community through that, so that is the plan I'm going for.
The final video of this year will be my Top 25 list, and then I'm wrapping up this era of creating. No, I'm not quitting YouTube totally, I'm just going to be gone for a minute and return with a new form. (Who knows, maybe I'll return making flute videos lol)
But during that time, I'll be working on other projects that I will be presenting on here and streaming services. Hopefully, y'all will tap in! If not, it's all good, I appreciate the cool-ass moments and for y'all even tapping in, in the first place. I appreciate all your support and luv, y'all really helped me get out of a dark time in my life when I had no outlet at all. Thank you all, and luv y'all! π«Ά
