As a heads up, we're going to be re-releasing the Jim Maser the interview as a single full-length episode later today, for those who prefer to watch things in full in one sitting.
We'll make it a live premiere so that people can weigh in on various points again.
If it uploads in time, we'll have that live in an hour.

SKEPTICS:
We are looking at entering into an agreement to translate portions of our back library into various languages for worldwide distribution.
So, here's a couple questions for our fans:
1. Which episodes in the back library would you consider to be MUST-SEES ie "evergreen content." Still relevant.
If you had to pick THREE episodes that are over six months old, which would you pick?
2. What languages would you personally like to see these episodes done in; or, which do you believe would have the furthest reach?
This is a survey that will help shape the contract we're looking at taking out. We'll be asking across multiple platforms, but please only complete the survey once.
Thanks!

The gifts are unwrapped, the festivities concluded, the company gone home, and the Christmas tree is back in storage - so it's time to get back to work!
2025 is shaping up to be a newsworthy year like no other - in fact, this Friday alone is set to showcase where SpaceX and New Glenn are in their Billionaire's Space Race with back to back launches on the same day. SpaceX is intending to launching another hollow Starship test article to crash into the ocean, while Blue Origin's goal is to launch a pathfinder payload into MEO and recover their booster by barge, as Jeff Bezos patented in the very early days of the company. Lofty ambition. Looking forward to that launch. And Rocketlab's Neutron is set to make a debut launch mid-year as well, as Musk continues to muck around with his "rapid iterative testing."
Although studio renovations did not get completed over the holidays (got a good head start on them), we're back into production mode and working on an episode that is long overdue, that followers of the channel have been waiting for. Looking at a timeline of two weeks, but possibly earlier.
Wanted to take this opportunity to wish you and yours all the best in the New Year, and thanks our followers for the continued support,
Rest assured - the Common Sense Skeptic will return :)
Happy 2025!

Five minutes from now, the LONG-anticipated breakdown of the We, Robot event - but this one is completely different from the other reaction videos.
Quality takes time! So does tying everything you saw on 10.10 to Musk's past vapourware promises.
See you in the live chat shortly.

With the Tate mega-series in the rear-view, time for a Musk episode - which one do you want next?
Starship ift4/5 breakdown or
Robotaxi 10/10?
Simple majority wins, soaking for 12 hours. Show will take a week to produce.

For the Skeptic Community,
Thank you so much for your continued support, as Summer 2024 was an absolute gong show for us, and it's not quite over with several projects to complete before the snow flies - but we are working hard at a Matrix of Lies Update to get us back in production mode, and looking forward to whatever Musk has cobbled together for the 10/10 event.
FYI, our Q2 episode for Tesla disappeared from our hard drives for reasons unknown, so if we are going to rebuild that show for the historical record, that will be our next project.
If you want to see what we collected for '24Q2, we'll rebuild the file.
If not, we'll skip to '24Q3 when that comes out.
Let us know in the comments.
Also,
We're undergoing some major changes here at home. For example, last Christmas our studio room got flooded on the morning of Christmas Eve, and it has been down since then. Floors, walls, all got soaked and need to be swapped out. Which gives us an opportunity.
So, here's another question for you - if we were to fundraise enough money through Patreon, Buy Me A Coffee and GoFundMe, would you support the goal of creating a brand new studio capable of doing live events, so that we can react quicker to events of the day, as well as producing our episodes? A live studio will require a better computer than we're using now for production (ideally a Mac Pro Studio 7,1 or better), cameras, additional hardware, soundproofing, etc. Probably $20-25k in upgrades across the board.
If there is interest in something like this, we may even do a marathon event on YT or Twitter Spaces to raise funds in preparation for the New Year.
Or, we can just keep doing what we're doing, compiling feature-film length documentaries on your favourite topics with the gear we've got after we swap out the floors and gyproc.
This is your opportunity to have a say in the direction of the channel, so what's your preference?
1) Episodes only
2) Episodes + live events

The premise behind the Common Sense Skeptic is simple - provide viewers with the ability to break down outrageous claims using simple mathematics, examples, and logic. Wherever possible, and especially with regards to scientific breakthroughs, this channel will make seemingly complicated subject matter easier to understand. And we connect the dots on other topics of the day to make sense of topics of the day.
Lately, YouTube has made it very difficult for creators to benefit from their work on this platform, especially those taking on controversial topics (Musk, Tate, Crypto).
