Surprise! Saturday video upload at Munchie's Place!
Oh ho ho I am indeedy spoiling you guys with the return of the "angry hamster lady" as you guys now have dubbed thee and I've always played along. Chaotic good if I remember a few of you put a few years ago. Now I'm back to hopefully be a beacon again for hamster welfare, rescue advocate and friend to those who appreciate the vibes I'm giving back to my community. By popular demand, let's get a look'n at some CL posts again. ;)

Would you mind helping me with travel plans?
Is there somewhere pet related that you think I should visit? Since leaving WA state for the second time ever in my life (yes, sad), I am really excited to plan my next trip in the distant future. There's some pretty cool pet places I wish to visit. So I wanted to ask you, my Munckins, where are some of these neat pet places you think I should check out?
Please leave a comment below, and i'll check it out via google. Can't promise I can travel to all, but I want to at least visit somewhere small animal related like a specific cool pet store only in your state or maybe a museum.

Well don't you guys just feel spoiled this week!
Another Munchie Talk video will be uploaded tomorrow about a hamster care guide website I'll review, that is probably the biggest pet company in the US and Canada. I forget if this specific pet company is overseas but....it'll be wild! Will you be there, or be square? haha, I'm having fun. :P

Good news Munckins, you're getting spoiled this week!
My second video I filmed will be up tomorrow at 7:30am PST! That's West Coast for those living on East Coast. It's a rescue intake video, and it's a doozy! Sneak Peak image! Gee I wonder what cage(s) it could be.
Also this is the one with the sound issue, but don't worry it's fixed now. I tried my best to edit the sound but I couldn't make it go away.

Update on Seraphina the puppy I found in the desert,
My partner has found someone who may be interested in her. I'm sad...happy...both, that maybe Phina has found a home possibly. But for now, we will wait and see if it might be a good fit. I've been told daily, 24/7 that I'm not allowed to keep her. But I do want to get her DNA tested first to see what breeds she is, so that I can time her spay operation correctly. Large breed dogs like German Shepherds need to wait till around 2 years before you fix them. If she's not a large breed dog, we can fix her at under a year old.
But right now funds at the rescue are tight. I've not been taking in donations at the rescue via amazon when we have enough supplies/no more room for them at the rescue. But I'm now opening up our Wishlist again since Phina will be rehomed at Munchie's Place. If anyone wishes to help out Phina while she's here, I've added things to the list for her. www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/RIARTFA9K83C
Otherwise right now the hamsters at the rescue just need new hides/chew toys. We had enough money recently to buy bedding so we are good on bedding and we have enough food left till the end of 2024, I think. So this is all.
Thank you to those who wanted to help out/asked. It's back up now.
Also she's 17.8lbs now. Phina was 14lb when we brought her home almost a month ago.

Munchkins, we all can't be filming geniuses.
I just filmed two videos before I found out my 2nd camera's setting was causing an annoying crackling sound on my Rode mic. And you wanna know what fixed it? My camera had the blutooth setting turned on because that's a default feature. Yeah...how am I supposed to have known the frequency would mess with the mic itself? So you'll have to endure at least two videos with the noise...please don't make a comment if you can help it Q__Q I at least fixed it.
Spoiler, the first video drops tomorrow morning 7:30am PST! Well technically today. But thanks for being understanding. I postponed this video to try and fix the noise, but no matter what, it's present when I talk.
Time to get back on Craigslist and see what's changed in the pet world, wink wink.

Thanks everyone for checking out the recent video I posted about Fina's Desert Rescue. Let's pray I don't have to have another animal cross my path, or else I'll be charging admissions for my tiny Zoo here to keep them all fed, Haha.
But if you didn't see the video, I found a puppy in the desert and catching her wasn't fun. If anyone's been to the Arizona/Utah boarder, maybe you understand what hot desert sand feels like when it sucks you in.
Anyways I'll be making a new video today and will hope to post it by tomorrow, hopefully. You know me. Say one thing and then the day ends up going south somehow.

Rescuing gerbils is the first thing you get to see from me in 2024. It's a soft return & I hope to continue to do more videos here this week. The ladies just came to us recently and was an easy video to make.
I'll be doing a live stream here today (If my horrible headache is gone by then), or else you'll see a live stream update from me very soon. Expect it to be around 7pm PST or later.

UPDATE ON CARE STANDARDS AT MUNCHIES PLACE!
Hi, tis me again. I want to address our care standards for the minimum sizes in 2024. So what is it that we recommend now?
We no longer suggest 600 sq inches for all hamsters as the minimum.
The following is our sizes now for adopters/owners only:
Syrian hamsters - 750sq inches (Niteangel Bigger World Medium)
Dwarf/Chinese/Winter White - 600 sq inches (40 gallon tank, don't recommend prevue 528 for these species of hamsters)
The rescue will still use 600 sq inch cages for Syrians right now till we are setup with larger cages. HOWEVER TO NOTE due to the size increase we are hoping to aim for, this means LESS INTAKES DUE TO SPACE. We as a rescue, need to consider if we think saving lives to be more important than space requirements OR if space requirements are more important than saving lives! This is why we are saying minimum for OWNERS/ADOPTERS ONLY at this time. Rescue work is different from a forever home with time and money going into better care.
Also, sorry no videos yet....and I mean YET! Still here and about to release one. I'm not going to make a "I've returned video". I'll just continue where I left off, as if I was never truly gone. But please say hi when it does get released. It'll probably be tomorrow or on Monday. Depending if I have time to edit. This will also help out the channel since youtube considers it dead if we don't upload within 2 weeks anyways.
