Ack meant to post this yesterday, but no video this week unfortunately. I have however been making progress on my mod breakdown video, and it's likely the most editing intense video I've worked on for this channel. I'm excited for when I can upload it, and have been focusing on that and life more than trying to come up with new video ideas currently.

Heads up, no video this week since my brain has not been in the mood to do anything side order related. For as much as I've been enjoying doing the side order runs in splatoon 3, Splatoon itself is not where I want the focus of this channel's content to ultimately be. I've been wanting to make a video for a while now that goes over the mod I made for the Kirby mod jam that Failboat ran several months ago. As such, I'm going to be taking some more time to focus my energy into that project. I want to give better context for several of the references made in the mod, as well as just talk about some of the oddities I encountered while working on it. Going forward, there will most likely be content similar in style to this where I have mod footage in the background and yap about the intricacies of the mod and other related information. The technical aspect of modding is always interesting to me, so I want to share more of it, which I don't feel as able to do with the current Side Order video format.

No video upload tomorrow as I haven't been able to finish editing it during the week. I might try to upload sometime in the middle of the week, but no promises.

The universe seems to be conspiring against me this week. I was planning on putting the grizzco roller into side order this week, however when I updated my game to get the sizzle season content, I became unable to access side order in general. I fixed this by trying an older version of the game, however that in turn corrupted my side order save file. I then went to attempt to record some general side order gameplay on a new file, and found that none of the grizzco weapons I had previously added were working anymore. I (think) I figured out how to solve that, and tried to add the grizzco brella as well since I figured it wouldn't be too difficult.
*LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER*
wrong. Turns out I just made the game crash. Hopefully I can get something recorded, edited, and up by the end of the week, but we shall see.
Additionally, I was hoping to get a couple videos finished this week, since I'm going to be away for a good portion of next week on vacation and could just schedule them in advance. Depending on what happens with the current recording situation, I may just push this weeks video back to next week and just have the one video.
tl;dr The universe doesn't want me making videos this week, I might just have one video that goes up next week and none this week.

This weekend was much busier than I had anticipated, and as such I haven't had a chance to record a video for this week yet. As a result, I'm gonna not upload this week so I don't have to rush and will be back next week. However, here's a sneak peak of what I've been working on...

An update regarding general channel direction:
As much as I enjoy doing the silly side order builds, it's not something that I can maintain indefinitely. Additionally, splatoon isn't necessarily what I would call my favorite game of all time. However, the side order build videos have given me a much better idea of what I do want to do for content moving forwards.
I enjoy taking the mechanics of a game and trying to bend them and push the boundaries. What I've really noticed with side order is I enjoy making stupid build ideas, and using them regardless of how viable they might be. Going forwards, I think the next logical step would be to try applying this to other games that have character or team building elements. I have a few ideas for builds in some different games, however I'm not sure which would be most interesting to YOU.
This brings me to the reason for this poll: I want your input on what other games you want to see me do dumb builds in! Please vote for the game you'd be interested in seeing, and I'll make a video on whichever one wins within the next few weeks. Additionally, if there's a game you think has similar aspects of building around a gameplay style that you would like to see me try, please comment it down below, I would love to check it out since doing this is genuinely fun for me.

This week has been incredibly mentally taxing on me, and as such I'm going to postpone this week's video until next week. I have the footage done, however I just have not had the bandwidth to actually edit it together yet unfortunately.

I've been trying to get the next side order build video out today, however since I wasn't home for most of last week I've only really had yesterday and today to work on it. As a result, it's not quite done yet, so I'm delaying the upload until at least tomorrow to ensure the video's quality.
