I am a social worker, justice and peace monitor and lay Catholic theologian seeking "the things that make for peace" (Luke 19:42) to ensure human rights acquire meaning as a basis for restorative justice & peacebuilding.
Since 2006 I have been supporting the AmaMpondo rural residents of the Wild Coast of South Africa to claim their constitutional rights in the face of the efforts of an Australian mining company and the South African Government to subvert opposition and co-opt them into surrendering their ancestral lands to extract titanium and heavy minerals.
My work is now to let the wheel of time turn from the perspective of the still point of the eternal truth of the Divine Mystery as revealed in the Incarnation to:
(1) provide professional psychosocial and spiritual support to whistleblowers who experience retaliation for having Named, Unmasked and Engaged the Powers;
(2) mentoring those seeking their vocation;
(3) writing stories.
(4) hosting podcast dialogues.
