this carving on a cave wall was discovered in Jerusalem by a follower of Jesus during the time Christianβs were being heavily persecuted for their faith not long after the crucifixion of Jesus . the cave entrance was hidden by a fig tree . the fig tree is a prominent symbol in the Bible, appearing in many parts of the scripture. the fig tree is the first fruit tree mentioned by name in the Bible, and is used to symbolize the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.the cave description translates to β Jesus is present β . The carving method resulting in a type of herringbone pattern is typical of the Hellenistic period, and indicates the use of a chisel. The entrance, which faces east, may indicate a sacred place. The underground installation is accessed using a narrow flight of stairs that curved along the line of the wall. this is the or one of the earliest pieces of evidence and acknowledgement of Jesus Christ existence on earth for archaeological findings . #Jesus #evidence #history
