One of Nick's all-time favorite guitar players, the iconic Steve Vai is set to release new artwork with SceneFour, utilizing light-based technology inspired by his legendary multi-neck "Hydra Guitar" performances. Nick would have loved knowing that Steve Vai worked with the same company he did for his own similar collection, "Influx."
Just two days before Nick passed away, he had announced that his art release, "Influx," would debut in mid-June. However, the project was immediately postponed following his passing. On July 23, SceneFour released the collection on what would have been Nick's 52nd birthday.
The artwork featured in the collection is part of a new medium of abstract art crafted from rhythm, where drummers are building fine art through the use of drumsticks that light much like a painter uses brushes with oils. There are a total of three different works within Menza's collection. Each work is available in editions of 100. Visit www.nickmenzaart.com

Thank you Dirk Verbeuren for keeping Nick's memories and legacy alive!
On January 10, 2025, Dirk was a guest on Drumeo, where he broke down one of the band’s most iconic tracks, Hangar 18. During the session, Verbeuren took the opportunity to delve into the intricate details of the song’s drumming, giving a deeper understanding of its technical complexity.
Verbeuren’s praise for the original performance by Nick Menza was clear throughout the breakdown. He highlighted Menza’s ability to marry precision with speed, particularly in the fast, complex fills and aggressive beats that define Hangar 18.
Verbeuren acknowledged the song’s difficult drumming parts, praising how Menza’s groove and creativity elevated the track, making it one of the standout songs in Megadeth’s discography.
Not only did Verbeuren break down the parts with his usual technical expertise, but he also praised Menza’s ability to make the song feel organic and dynamic.
The way Menza navigated through the fast sections with musicality was something Verbeuren held in high regard, emphasizing the balance between technical prowess and musical expression.
This breakdown was a fantastic opportunity for fans to witness Verbeuren’s deep respect for his band’s history while showcasing his own remarkable drumming abilities. It was a true testament to his skill and understanding of the art of drumming, blending admiration for the past with his own innovative approach.
