For any subs who care any more 😉 I’ve been rather “unfocused” the past few years, which is in evidence looking at my videos. The channel was, and is, a hobby channel and anyone who’s followed me knows that I rotate between artistic and active hobbies and attack the current favorite with laser-like focus. Then I unceremoniously drop it (or background it), subscribers be damned. Speaking of subscribers, my channel’s growth completely stalled last year, and is starting to backslide. It’s no great loss — I’m not in this for the money or to be an influencer.

Another reason for the even-less-consistent subject matter is a lot of changes happened for me in 2019/2020. Nothing bad, per se, but a combination of factors, each of which was impactful, and that were pretty personally momentous taken as a whole. I keep wanting to make a serious video about it, but I get caught up in details and production, and then stop. Anyway, I have lots of free time these days and my brain is constantly bouncing around looking for ways to create and recreate.

I was just looking through some of the reflective/scenic videography I was doing a couple of years ago and realized that it has aged fairly well, and I might like to do more. I may try combining it with my current mountain biking obsession, along the lines of my latest very short “Beautiful Deer Haven” video. Maybe concentrate on a somewhat more artistic approach rather than just chest rig video (which is not at all exciting given my trails and abilities, though I enjoy having the footage to look back on).

What do you think? What do you miss? Is anyone reading this? 😆

PS if you area reading this and have stuck through all the randomness that is this channel, I’m amazed, and I do appreciate it. My guess is we are similar to some degree or another, with restless minds and lots of interests and competing passions.
