ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

The blatant censorship of Dragon Quest 3 and the systematic removal of Yuji Horii’s interview from the internet is a disgrace. For those of you who don’t know, Yuji Horii, creator of Dragon Quest, bravely spoke out during Tokyo Game Show 2024. In his interview, he criticized the absurdity of Western censorship laws and called out what many of us have been thinking for YEARS about the gaming industry. Guess what? Now, they’re trying to scrub it from existence because it doesn’t fit the narrative.

Let’s get real: the gaming industry is being ruined by censorship, DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) initiatives, and the never-ending culture war. These days, it feels like all companies care about is ticking the right boxes for race, gender, sexual orientation, and forcing political agendas down our throats. What happened to making GOOD GAMES? What happened to the passion, the creativity, the freedom to design characters and stories that were bold, interesting, and FUN?

We used to be able to immerse ourselves in games without every single pixel being dissected for “problematic content.” This obsession with sterilizing everything for fear of "offending" someone has reached a boiling point, and it needs to stop. Censorship kills creativity. Period. And it’s time for us to fight back before the soul of gaming is completely hollowed out.

I’ve been criticizing this downward spiral of the "modern gaming industry" for a long time, and it’s refreshing to see someone as respected as Horii standing up against this madness. But of course, rather than letting his words be heard, they’re sweeping them under the rug, pretending like they never happened. Well, not on my watch. I’m uploading this video to preserve what little truth is left in this sea of corporate censorship, and I won’t let it disappear.

I fully support Yuji Horii’s words, and I’m calling on more Japanese game developers to SPEAK UP! It’s time to take a stand against this nonsense before it’s too late. Tetsuya Nomura was right too—this “uglification” of mainly female characters but also male characters is just another symptom of a larger disease plaguing the industry. We don’t need characters redesigned to be politically correct, we need characters that are memorable, that have impact, that are actually fun to play.

If companies keep pushing their agenda, they’ll lose the very people who made their games a success in the first place. I have dreams of making games myself one day—games that will bring back the joy, excitement, and freedom we all felt in the 90s, 2000s, and even early 2010s. No forced messages, no “careful balancing,” just pure, unfiltered creative freedom.

Also yes, I am alive. I have been alive since my last post. Just lots of university stuff, trying to finish my Bachelor's Degree, and being absolutely terrible with posting anything. Paralysis of initiation sucks. I don't really expect many people to see this, but to those who do, I am alive. And getting by one day at a time

I am broken...and I truly need help. This is one of my biggest struggles and emergencies yet. And I truly need all of your help...



In brief, I am broken and my life has been shattered and ruined. My ex of 2 years ended up leaving me, taking not only ALL of our life savings, but $6000 of it being my scholarship money and another $6000 being along with our life savings. This was after the fact that I got her out of a terrible, abusive situation 2 years ago. This was after I bought a car with all my life savings of 3 years, got into a car crash and got totaled, took out a car loan for a new car, had to spend $4000 of maintenance + $5500 to fix the transmission.



After she took all my money and left me $20,000 in debt, my property management gave me a non-renewable lease expiration paper and I have been evicted from my apartment, forcing me to live in my parent's house. With my facial palsy on the right side of my face, speech impediment and discrimination, I cannot find a job and make ends meet, along with my life savings gone and $20,000 of debt she left me in.
