Hey all,
I received an early copy of Shadow of The Erdtree and have played the entire DLC. But more important than my impressions, I have news about what's happening with future videos.
I am blown away by the potential that the DLC has in store for me in making content. If you cannot tell, I really prefer Elden Ring for videos because it's the right combination of funny, dramatic, and gives me a lot of freedom in my shots. I am planning to release 2 videos on the DLC, but there is a caveat.
I have a high standard for how this should go, and I would like to make sure it's perfect. I have to wait to film - because my videos rely heavily on dramatic freecam shots, slow motion mods, UI mods, and other things that need to be updated. As well, I intend to show footage from a co-op playthrough with a friend to record more funny reactions and genuine moments, which will take time. In the meantime, I am working on the script for the video.
That is to say, this video will take a long time to make. I anticipate it to also be very lengthy, but expect my highest quality work with no compromises. I am merely beginning the start of an extremely long editing journey.
Lastly, I would like to briefly explain what I've been up to for the past month. I have had my first vacation in over 2 years, and I was very burned out. I had worked on the last Elden Ring video to the extent that my hands were beginning to hurt a great deal, and I was afraid that I was going to develop carpal tunnel. For your sake, I had to stop myself. In that time I have worked on my interpersonal relationships, spoke to family and friends more, and just tried to rest and enjoy my time with the DLC. My wrists are seemingly fixed now.
This may very well be some of the last content before I work on getting an editor, and I just want the video to be 100% me. I want to work on it while maintaining a healthy balance, be enthusiastic throughout the project, and deliver you my very best. That's all in theory though. I may not get there 100%, but I am quite enthusiastic about the project, and I just ask that all of you have the patience that is required to make great art.
I would not be able to do any of this without the help of my Patreon. You are the reason that I can make the videos I really want to make and that my dedicated fans love, not the videos I think will get a billion views.
The Baldur's Gate 3 video is finally out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6qlh...
Video should release very soon. A few tweaks are due. Patreon subscribers already get access to an early version!
I'm the guy who spends 3 months editing a video.
