---LAUNCH DATE ANNOUCEMENT---

Hey guys, I'm happy to announce that my digital synthesizer project, MixiSynth, will be launching on Kickstarter on September 13th! In addition, I have three videos up right now on my second channel about it (‪‪‬‪@reidsprojects7952‬). One is a general overview, one is an audio test, and the last one is a video showing my process of developing the device.

I'm also finishing up a KSP video and a Trailmakers video this week, and I'm hoping to get them out very soon. Hope you enjoy, and thanks for reading!

You may have noticed I’ve been pretty inactive for awhile, and I want to explain what exactly is going on.

While I was in college, working on videos was more or less what I was putting all of my spare time into. As long as I had four hours to kill between classes, I was probably going to fill it with either recording or editing. This system worked pretty well for me since I could easily ramp up or down production with whatever my course demand was.

For this system to work though, it requires whatever the main commitment in my life is to have a give and take. College of course has this variable intensity, but I’ve taken on a new commitment last year that has been quite hungry for my time. And lately, that commitment has near exclusively been taking it.

So what is that commitment? Well for slightly over a year now, I’ve been working on developing a product that I was frustrated didn’t exist.

This would be what I’m calling MixiSynth, a portable, inexpensive, and robust musical synthesizer. I made this with one big goal: simplicity. Whether you are loading a default instrument, or composing a full song on the device, MixiSynth provides an intuitive yet expansive experience. The prominent touchscreen allows for easy interfacing and customizability with instrument parameters, making it as natural as possible to jump into. And with its 5000 mAh battery and integrated speaker, you can continuously play for ~24 hours, making it a great on-the-go option.

This simplicity though is being leveraged to enhance creativity, not limit it. With my custom 32-slice wavetable editor, users have the ability to design their own instruments from the ground up. Whether you are attempting to emulate an acoustic sound or setting out to create a more traditional synth effect, the integrated audio engine has you covered.

So if you think the product sounds cool or just want to support my work, click the link in my pinned comment to wishlist the Kickstarter page. I’m aiming to launch on August 1st, but if you want to be ready when it opens so you can potentially get in on the best discount tiers, make sure to click to get notified of when the campaign launches. For full transparency, the photos here are renders, but I do have production ready prototypes in hand that I’m just waiting on getting professionally photographed.

I try not to ask a lot of you guys since I don’t really believe in squeezing my viewers, but if you would be willing to wishlist the campaign, it would mean a lot. I have a lot more details I’ll be slowly dropping in the coming weeks, so I hope you’ll stick around to hear them. Thanks guys, and I’ll see you in my next video in just about a week.

Apologies for my random disappearance, but I'll be back most likely on Tuesday with a new video, and another a week or two after in Besiege that I think is my most time consuming one yet.

Also, what video concept would you be most interested in seeing?

Got another quirky video coming out tomorrow, took a few more days to edit than I expected, but I think it turned out well. See you all tomorrow!
