I’m afraid there won’t be a new video tonight. This is because of a fairly serious accident that Marc had yesterday. I’ve just uploaded an explanation over on our other channel ‪@Chroniclesofrosieres‬ if you wish to know more, but otherwise we’ll be back in a few days with the delayed video.

Hello friends! After several months of weekly Saturday videos, we are going to be taking a break this week. We have an important and joyful family even to organise, which requires all of our focus. For those of you who are new to our project, you might like to check out our original channel in the meantime. Over there we covered lots of garden projects before we decided to split the channels up. I made a playlist with all of these videos so you can catch up on them all in one place if the chateau restoration is of no interest: www.youtube.com/playlist?list...

One video that I particularly recommend is one which outlines in brief, our grand vision for the estate, including self-sufficiency and productivity: https://youtu.be/3uVyiJa80d0?si=dLeIi...

Have a wonderful weekend and see you next week with a brand new video!

Don't miss tonight/today's premiere! There was an error setting up the premiere earlier due to using a laptop set to California time. It's actually at 22:00 Paris time tonight, which is in just over 3 hours! Look forward to joining you to view it!

Good evening! Over on our Chateau restoration channel we just posted a short update on why we've been absent for a while. In short, we've had a string of illnesses and general life stuff that have prevented us from working on our YouTube videos, but we've still been working hard on lots of projects on the estate and we're going to be sharing them with you very soon. Stay tuned!

Hi everyone! Just a little note to say that we will be moving our Lost Gardens of Chateau de Rosieres videos to Saturdays and releasing them every two weeks. We'll be doing the same with our Restoration channel The Chronicles of Chateau de Rosieres so that there should still be a video from us each week, but on alternate channels. This is for many reasons but not least that we spend on average between 15 and 25 hours on filming and editing each video, and with two videos a week this was starting to mean we didn't have time for the actual work, or spending time with our kids! We're nearly finished with the next greenhouse video which we'll release this Saturday at 9pm French time, so stay tuned!
All the best,
Amy

Dear all,
Apparently our latest post didn’t make it into everybody’s subscription feeds. Just in case you missed it, this is the second video in the cistern-to-greenhouse transformation series!

Have a lovely weekend and thank you for your support!

Dear all, Thank you for your amazing response to our channel so far. We won't have a new video for you this week. It's the usual story of children taking priority, which I know you're all on board with. It's frustrating because we have so much footage to show you, but it all reaches the editing bottle neck that is Amy. In just a couple of weeks however we're going to have some much-needed help on the YouTube and childcare fronts and you will have a veritable feast of videos heading your way.

The poll below is a bit of a joke, but you can vote if you like. It shows just some of the projects that we're filming or have filmed recently. It's the irony of YouTube that the more interesting things you're doing, the less time you have to edit and show them because you're too busy actually doing them!

In the meantime, in case some of you are unfamiliar with our other channel, or joined that channel late, I thought I'd list below some of our existing videos from ‪@Chroniclesofrosieres‬ that show important estate projects. All of them will continue their stories on this channel:

This video is recent, short, and shows our overall plan for restoring the historic chateau estate and heading towards self-sufficiency: https://youtu.be/3uVyiJa80d0

This video is all about the start of our winemaking journey, and the preparation of our first vineyard (and tells the story of the terraces before the recent Burning video on this channel!) https://youtu.be/psp1nPhWgGA

This is an old video that shows the start of our project to become self-sufficient with water. It's the beginning of our attempt to restore a huge, 19th Century cistern: https://youtu.be/EzkIyaXiguI

The start of the infamous Palm Tree saga. You might want to re-watch this as there's more coming very soon. And yes I mean more videos AND more palm trees. https://youtu.be/PUJxfnN3qNo

These two videos show the development of our new orchard. From inspirational visits and family history to the actual planting: https://youtu.be/PNzkj61-K1c and https://youtu.be/vX_yznJl640

Two recent videos that show the discovery of a fantastic spring and the start of our project to pipe it. There's also discussion of the sewage soakaway ponds: https://youtu.be/EbF2tkgXI64 and https://youtu.be/xpJiByytO1A

Dear all,

Thank you for such kind words and support for our first few videos. It means an awful lot to us! I’m so sorry that I didn’t make it to the premiere last night. I really wanted to but evenings can get very complicated with the kids and it’s not easy to predict.

Did you enjoy having the video on a Thursday? I was thinking of Wednesdays but this week the logistics didn’t work out. I want to attempt a regular slot! Is 10pm French time too late? Again I hope to make it after both kids have definitely gone to bed and that doesn’t always happen early, in spite of our best efforts. I also have no idea what time other channels do their premieres so I’m trying to just avoid it all by going late!

Let me know what you think!
