Guys, I have had to move LESSON 14 in our AI class up a day to Monday, October 5. I know these classes are usually premiered on Tuesday, but I have a schedule conflict and can not be there at the normal time. Next week, things will be back to normal. Hope to see you today!

Guys be sure to tune in for Today's Livestream. It will be the best hangout ever . . . have a surprise for you guys so dont miss it. Will kick off at 12:00 Noon, Central Daylight Time.

Guys so sorry for the technical malfunction today for those of you who tuned into my Edge of Space High Altitude Ball loon overview. I never should have tried to point the camera out the window. When I did we lost audio, and once we lose audio all you can do is reboot the system. I have a crazy fast computer with lots of memory to do these live streams, but the issue appears to be USB bandwidth, as I have a number of cameras and audio coming in through USB and fear the pipes are just not quiet big enough. If there is interest, maybe we can try again in a few days.

Guys, so sorry the livestream went down today just as things were getting interesting on our broadcast on Nanotechnology. We had the power go down hard, and it was out for several hours. Would you all be interested in picking things up this coming friday with another livestream to talk more on Nanotechnology. Dont want to bore you, but felt the stream died as we were getting to some important stuff. Leave your comments below.

Guys, I realize it has been a while since I have posted anything. I have been really busy with my full time teaching job, and building my retirement home in Africa (Picture Below). I am realizing that my arduino series really needs to be redone. A lot of the hardware and components I used in the videos is no longer available, and the software environments have changed some. The series really needs to be redone, and done better than ever. I have a much better audio visual studio, and should be able to produce better videos. Some of my early ones had real audio problems. My plan is to redo the arduino series this summer with new hardware. I plan on exploring more projects, and use a much wider array of sensors. If you are interested in playing along at home, you can go ahead and order the hardware I will be using below:
Arduino Starter Kit with Accessories:
amzn.to/2GDn7Nk
Arduino Sensor Pack (Really great pack of useful sensors):
amzn.to/2IAWbju
I think this will be a great series, and hope you guys will join me.
I also hope to put a series together on the scratch programming environment. This is a simple graphical programming language that I think would be excellent for younger students. Would love to hear from you guys!

I am Paul McWhorter from toptechboy.com and I will be putting together a series of tutorials on use of the Arduino microcontroller. I am also an avid Raspberry Pi guy and will start a tutorial series on that as soon as I finish the Arduino material. In addition, I have had some pretty good success on sending electronics packages to the edge of space on High Altitude Balloons, and will be sharing what I have learned about that. Subscribe to this channel, Buckle Up, and lets do some exciting projects together.
