The new clay pot came in and someone asked how well it cooks and wanted more info.
Okay, so after seasoning it (they have directions, but instead of a ripe plantain I use cooking oil on the inside only.)
So, I did a traditional beef pot roast and it came out amazing. The pot is a bit spendy, got mine through Amazon and no, I'm not an affiliate. Here's the link.

Had a craving, blackened mahi and smoked white cheddar mac & cheese. Wanted to make collard greens but they didn't look so great at the store.
But the bakery has some nice rolls.

Made a simple stew of beef minced, aubergine, capsicum, onion in a zesty cumin sauce, and of course rice... Not bad for a crippled old coot I guess?

We love these la chamba Colombian black earthenware cooking pots so much we ordered another. This one is a 5 quart casserole/roaster.
Clay cookware can be an addiction sometimes.

I grow mostly frankincense & myrrh trees along with lotus for blooms and food
And a few other plants like Adenium and thorny plants.
And sometimes cook along with brewing beers and wine and other ferments and homemade cured and smoked meats and salami.
