August is almost ending! Aaand we’re more than HALFWAY through the 1 Million 🚨Emergency Fund challenge!!🚨

💡 By end of August, you should have invested KES 666,664 in your Sanlam Money Market Fund account.

Swipe right ➡️➡️ to see how much Wealthtribers have invested so far 🤑 🔥

🚨 Use this link to submit your application for a Money Market Fund account 👉🏽👉🏽 bit.ly/InvestSUT

🚨 After submitting your application, send me an email using agatha@thewealthtribe.com and say 'Please add me to your accountability list'

💡 A Money Market Fund is a form of Unit Trust where investors like you and I pool our funds together and give it to a professional money manager who invests it on our behalf.

Think of it as yourself, Mary, Alex, Carole, Charles, Doreen, John and Edith contributing money in one account and then giving it to a professional money manager to invest it on your behalf. That’s basically what a Money Market Fund is!

💡 The professional fund manager invests the money you put in Money Market Funds (MMFs) in different asset classes.

MMFs predominantly invest in 3 asset classes commonly referred to as Money Market Instruments.

These are:

☑️ Commercial paper – issued by corporations to finance their short-term cashflow needs.

☑️ Treasury bills – when the government borrows money from the public.

☑️ Fixed deposits – deposits in commercial banks.

These 3 are short-term investment instruments.

💡 MMFs in Kenya are regulated by the Capital Markets Authority.

💡 Why should you Invest in a Money Market Fund?!

It’s a LOW-RISK investment which makes it a safe investment for a beginner in investing or anyone who doesn’t want to have sleepless nights thinking about losing their investment.

I guess that includes all of us?

Money Market Funds do not require a lot of money to start. With as low as Kshs 2,500 you can begin your journey to becoming an 🚨emergency fund 🚨millionaire!

💡 How can you get started with the challenge?

☑️ Use this link to submit your application for a Money Market Fund account 👉🏽👉🏽 bit.ly/InvestSUT

☑️ Decide how much you’ll invest per day/week/month

☑️ I’ll keep you accountable!

Triiibe!!! 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾

We’ll have our second in-person event on Saturday, 3rd August from 9 AM!

The topic of discussion will be: Is it possible to retire at 40?!

In response to conversations we stirred after our last event on whether it is possible to retire early and live a fulfilling life, we have realized that many people fantasize about retiring young and enjoying their golden years free from the daily grind. But is retiring at 40 truly achievable?

During this event, we shall have a panel conversation to delve into the factors that can make or break this goal. We’ll explore the financial strategies, lifestyle adjustments, and potential challenges associated with early retirement. Let’s explore the path to potentially reaching retirement shores at the young age of 40!

I will be the moderator and I'll be joined by 2 guest speakers who will form our panel to share their different perspectives on the subject matter.

PS: they have achieved financial freedom and retired before 40! 🤑🤑

🚨 OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS ABOUT THE EVENT: 🚨

✅ A lot of Wealthtribers who have invested in Vuka have never had an opportunity to visit the underlying assets they invest in (Qwetu & Qejani Student Accommodation Facilities)

This is why we chose to have the event at Qwetu Karen on Bogani Road new CUEA (Catholic University of Eastern Africa).

‼️ The event includes a property tour! 🥳

✅ Since the location might be a bit far from you, Little Cab will give you a KES 200 discount if you use the Promo Code: WEALTH24

✅ THIS IS A FREE EVENT.

✅ YOU MUST BE AN EXISTING INVESTOR WITH VUKA TO ATTEND. IDEALLY, YOU MUST HAVE INVESTED AT LEAST KES 50,000.

Yes, you can join Vuka today and invest to be eligible to attend the event. Use this link to sign up on Vuka: registration.vuka.co.ke/IS104762

Would you like to attend? If you have met the above criteria, email me at agatha@thewealthtribe.com to reserve your slot!

I only have 60 tickets/slots to reserve. Please email me as soon as possible.

Please be SURE of your availability. And MAKE SURE you’re an existing Vuka Investor.

This is my second in-person event with Wealthtribers so I’m super excited to meet more of you!

📌 NOTE: When you swipe right ➡️➡️, you’ll see that some Wealthtribers have more than KES 333,332 in their accounts.

✅ Some have decided they’d like to achieve the goal before December.

✅ By the time some Wealthtribers joined the challenge, they had loads of savings in their banks so they saw this challenge as an opportunity to move their funds to the Money Market Fund to earn better returns.

✅ Some Wealthtribers have a bigger goal than the 1M (maybe because they have bigger responsibilities) so they’re pushing themselves harder.

Please don’t pressure yourself. If KES 333,332 is how much you have, it’s okay. If you have less, that’s super okay too: as I’ve said in my previous videos, this is an inclusive challenge.

Have you submitted your bid for the November Infrastructure bond?

Here are 5 things to note about the IFB1/2023/6.5

1. The minimum investment amount is now KES 50,000.

Previously, the minimum investment amount for infrastructure bonds was KES 100,000.

Treasury also lowered the minimum investment amount for Treasury Bills to KES 50,000 for non-competitive bids.

This development makes investing in Fixed Income Securities (bills & bonds) more accessible to more retail investors.

2. It's tax-free!

3. What’s the expected coupon/interest rate?

The coupon rate will be determined through the auction process when investors submit their bids. We’ll know the average rate from the Central Bank after the period of sale ends on 8th November 2023.

4. It’s a short-term (3 years and 6 months) bond for those who invest less than 1 million.

What of those who invest more than 1 million? I will explain this in my upcoming YouTube video (stay tuned 😉)

5. How to invest?

To invest, you must submit your bid through the CBK DhowCSD platform or through the Treasury Mobile Direct (TMD) by 10 A.M. on Wednesday 8th November and be ready to remit the funds to CBK by 13th November

(I have guides on how to create a CSD account through the DhowCSD platform on this YouTube channel)

I’m going to create a full video guide that I’ll upload on YouTube: which questions do you have? I’ll answer them in the video.

You can also book a consultation session and I'll help you figure out how much you should invest based on your current financial situation: DM me on Instagram 👉🏽 www.instagram.com/the_wealthtribe/
