I'll be boycotting Black Ops 6 for requiring a constant internet connection to access the story-mode. It's a shame because Call of Duty really was one of my favorite series up until recently. But I just can't support these big publishers when they charge people 70$ to own nothing, and don't care at all about preserving their biggest games.

Just a little update, I'm safe but have been pretty busy dealing with these hurricanes down here in Florida. Hopefully we wont lose power and I'll be able to get some videos up this week. Either way, I'll be back to pumping out content soon!

Just finished recording the final episodes for Beyond Good and Evil, all that's left is to edit them! Hopefully we'll have this series wrapped up this month 😊

If y'all were wondering whether or not the Jelly Star can play Fortnite, the answer is... it runs 🤣 I would NOT attempt to play any competitive game mode like this, as the screen tears anytime the camera is in motion.

I just wanted to let y'all know my uploads may be less consistent the next couple weeks (although you can still expect at least one video every week!). I've just been really struggling to find the time to edit the Beyond Good and Evil Playthrough. Hopefully in the next couple weeks I'll be able to finish the game and get the episodes out to y'all =)

If you don't already know, my channel is synced with a YouTube alternative called Odysee. It's a decentralized platform that allows anyone to monetize their content. I also upload my favorite videos to BitCHUTE. It's somewhat exhausting having to maintain multiple channels on multiple platforms, but YouTube always gives me additional reasons as to why.
Google has really ramped up efforts to control what information you see. It's near impossible to search for a video, and find it, if it has under 100,000 views, isn't from a corporate network, or isn't exactly what YouTube thinks is trendy. Your search results on Google and YouTube are no longer based on what you ask for, rather what they think you'll like. I believe in the long run this will make finding what you're looking for near impossible, and we'll all wind up just watching AI generated content.
As you know I like to keep my content local. I buy almost all my games physically and prefer not to use subscription services. That's why I still edit using Final Cut Pro, and have backups of my content on multiple hard drives. If YouTube ever pushes us small creators into obscurity I just want y'all to know that as long as alternatives are out there, I'll be there. If you're interested you can follow me on Odysee here (they could use the support)!

Oh and if you haven't seen, there are lots of new episodes of my latest playthrough up right now! If you like PS2 games, or classic lets plays, I think you'd like it :)
You can also find a lot more links to my different socials in my channel description and on ApavGaming.com
Thanks for reading my little rant and God bless!

It looks like I'm free! YouTube's automated system gave me a channel strike for linking the Good Bookr (a PSP Bible app) in one of my descriptions, claiming the website was a scam of some kind. Well, it wasn't, so my appeal seems to be accepted. During that time I was unable to upload, so last week's video will be scheduled for this week.
Stay tuned!

Nintendo does a lot wrong when it comes to understanding the market, but I'm really happy it looks like they're staying committed to physical media. I probably won't be able to pre-order their next console, but this pretty much guarantees I'll get it at some point. That was the whole reason I got my Switch, to get games that nobody else was releasing physically.

Hi! My name’s Alec Pavlik, but through some convoluted logic, I became known as Apav in the gaming community. When I started posting gaming related content on YouTube, over a decade ago, it was because I wanted to share video games with the world. However since then I’ve realized that the market for gameplay and reviews is simply oversaturated. Because of this, and that I’ve always wanted to share the love I believe Christ has given to me, I’ve decided the best way of adding to the gaming community is to introduce more people into that hobby on a personal level. So I hope you join me in playing some games, and helping out other's trying to join in on this awesome hobby :)
