Random Thing I Thought About With Epic The Musical, or just like a small headcanon:
The Creator did say he changed a few things from the original story like how long Odysseus has been gone, how some creatures behave and work like Sirens and Mermaids or how,[Spoiler], Zeus gave him the choice instead of just striking down his men and ship.
And we all know how some facts about history are never found, or bad translations, information lost or twisted over time.
So, it's just like a random thought that Epic is more of what really happened while the books presented a different version.
