However, it is useful for experienced sewists too because I explain the interdependent factors of sewing that make the best results possible. When I started fashion school, not only was I the youngest in the school, but I also started two weeks late and my peers were already established seamstresses that were mostly taking the class for the certification. During those times, the manufacturing industry was booming in the DR and having certification helped you secure more contracts.
In those first days of school, I felt completely lost and behind everyone else! It seemed like I would be a bad tailor for the rest of my life. It took me a lot of time and effort to understand the different nuances that are involved in sewing.
This is why I have been working hard on creating my upcoming e-course for you all. Even though the course is very simple, I go over the little details that make the difference between a really good seam, and a not-so-great one. I am trying to set the price to be very affordable so that it is more accessible.
As someone who is not naturally gifted at sewing, but is very good at remembering theoretical concepts, I have compiled the different factors that I have put together throughout my career to assure a great outcome. These really helped me in sewing when my natural talents didn’t necessarily pull me through, but rather the theory.

You are encouraged to try different types of needles for different fabrics and projects. For example, you can try a denim needle for denim fabrics, and a universal needle for most other fabrics.
