Exploding from the pages of All-American Comics in 1941 comes an Amazon graced with Olympian power from the Greek and Roman gods and goddesses. Wonder Woman became instantly popular scoring her own lead feature in Sensation Comics #1 (1942) and eventually starring in her own magazine, Wonder Woman #1 (Summer 1942). Over the years the alluring Amazon joined National Comics (later DC Comics) where she has remained one of the three most important characters with Superman and Batman that the company represents. Wonder Woman's popularity launched more so during the 1970s women liberation with the Wonder Woman 1974 movie, The New Original Wonder Woman film 1975 and the TV series that followed. While her popularity deteriorated between 1985 to 1998, she has steadily re-established herself as the world's greatest super-heroine with the online internet awareness and DVD distribution. This lead to her first cinematic portrayal in The Lego Movie and Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice.
