Stone Circles in the remote Andes of Northern Peru.
I walked past this undocumented site on my way to the cliff mausoleums of La Petaca.
A nearby farm had round stones with interesting symbols.
Best guess is that it was created by the Chachapoyas between 800 - 1470 AD.

That’s the name of a a chapter I am writing in my upcoming book “Enigmatic South America: Legends, Oddities, and a Controversial History”
Here are some questions for you all to ponder.
Why does this ancient Peruvian mask have blue eyes?
Why does the Moche pottery depict men with long thick beards?
What did Pedro Cieza de León witness that led him write the following?
“These Indians that live at Chachapoyas are the most white and good looking of all those that I have seen in my travels through the Indies”
Is it racist to ask such questions?
Should we wave the magic politically correct narrative wand and dismiss the account because the Spanish were barbaric colonizers?
Nobody really knows the true answer here but it’s not impossible that the Spanish were not the first Europeans to arrive in the Americas.

High up in the cliffs of Northern Peru, are vertical statues that are used as a sarcophagus.
Inside are the mummified remained of elite members of the Chachapoyas culture.
On top of the 4th sarcophagus is a human skull.

A field of Giant Megalithic Phalli in Colombia.
The site name “El Infiernito” translates to “The Little Hell.”
There were solstice and equinox markers all around the site.

Archeologists have been finding the bones and vertebrae of Blue Whales inside some of the main pyramids at Caral in Peru 🇵🇪.
Imagine the shock of an ancient culture 5000 years ago as they stumbled upon the carcass of a gigantic beached Blue Whale.
