Something interesting today. An interesting observation.
I'm sure most know. But those who don't know, I'm an average pistol shooter compared to my peers, (as seen in the classification system below) even though i do talk a lot of shit. I just started seriously shooting at the start of the year.
Interesting observation. I'm EXACTLY the same percentage level in two different divisions using two separate guns. (Staccato-HD and a used and worn out Gen3 Glock-17). This information is gathered using metrics from a performance based system in @USPSA.
My opinion. Its not the gun that gets you there. Its your mastery of skill level.
This also dispelled the popular opinion I'm only an average skill level shooter because I shoot a Staccato.

FYI: Local small matches are great for low-cost training.

Shot my best match last night.
Saw a 20%improvement in my performance from previous matches to a overall 71.2%
1st place in "unclassifed" division
2nd place limited optics with a 90.6% overall performance.
Still have a long ways to go.
