The Mission Field Has Moved! Read this featured blog post discussing my latest book, The Unexpected Guest, and how a children's book can become a ministry tool: luminairemediasolutions.com/the-mission-field-has-…
If you would have told the early church that one day the Gospel would travel through phones, be seen by millions at once, and reach unreached people groups without ever stepping foot on a plane… I think they would’ve called it a miracle.
And maybe that’s exactly what it is.
We are living in a time when the mission field is digital, and the harvest is abundant.
As someone who works every day with faith-based entrepreneurs, churches, authors, and nonprofits through Luminaire Media Solutions, I’ve seen firsthand how purpose-driven content can shift atmospheres, reach hearts, and spark real transformation—one video, one post, one testimony at a time.

I felt so honored to be interviewed by Amber Narro live on 97.7 fm and 1400 am last week. Listen to the interview on all major podcast platforms! It's called Tangipahoa is Gettin' Things Done!
In honor of Rosa Dunn’s long-running Point of View community show, Northshore Broadcasting’s Amber Narro is continuing the tradition of talk radio in Tangipahoa Parish. Affectionately known as Ms. Rosa, the original host talked to community leaders, volunteers and VIPS, but her first love and commitment was always to area nonprofits. Gettin’ things “Dunn” honors this mission and and begs the question, “What would Ms. Rosa think?”

Overcoming a victim mentality requires renewing your mind with God’s truth and declaring His Word over your life. Here are some powerful scripture-based declarations:
1. I am more than a conqueror
Romans 8:37 – “In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
Declaration: I refuse to live as a victim. Through Christ, I am more than a conqueror, victorious in every situation.
2. God is working all things for my good
Romans 8:28 – “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
Declaration: No matter what I have been through, God is turning it for my good. My past does not define me—God’s purpose does!
3. I have the mind of Christ
1 Corinthians 2:16 – “But we have the mind of Christ.”
Declaration: I reject a victim mindset. I have the mind of Christ, filled with wisdom, peace, and power.
4. I am a new creation
2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
Declaration: I am not defined by my past. I am a new creation in Christ, free from old wounds and limitations.
5. God is my refuge and strength
Psalm 46:1 – “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
Declaration: I am not abandoned or alone. God is my strength, my help, and my security.
6. No weapon formed against me shall prosper
Isaiah 54:17 – “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn.”
Declaration: I am not powerless. No weapon, no lie, and no scheme of the enemy can defeat me.
7. I am strong and courageous
Joshua 1:9 – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Declaration: Fear and discouragement have no place in me. I am strong and courageous because God is with me.
8. I am chosen and loved by God
Ephesians 1:4-5 – “For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight.”
Declaration: I am not rejected or forgotten. I am chosen, loved, and accepted by God.
9. I can do all things through Christ
Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Declaration: I am not limited by my past or circumstances. With Christ, I can rise above anything.
10. The joy of the Lord is my strength
Nehemiah 8:10 – “Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Declaration: I will not dwell on what was lost. I choose joy, and His joy strengthens me.
Speak these declarations daily and believe them. God has called you to live in freedom, victory, and purpose! Which one speaks to you the most today?

You are a Warrior Bride. You have clean hands and a pure heart, and you are humble and yielded to Him. You have a strong gift of discerning spirits, and you are a seeker of truth. You are attentive to His voice and very sensitive to the leading of His Spirit; therefore, He can trust you. I saw you standing with the sword ready to wield, yet you are at rest. You were standing on a shoreline facing the ocean. The ocean is the Church, the people He has called you to. You are calling them up, pointing the way, sharing truth, and equipping the saints. The river from heaven flows down and touches the earth. The sky is a sunset, which represents you waiting on the Lord. The sky was yellow and orange for hope, perseverance, and strength.

When my friend took this picture in October 2023, I had been let go of my job for 10 years due to a corporate reorganization. I was in shock. 15 months later, I look back at this picture, not knowing what my future looked like, but my Heavenly Father did. He reminded me, "She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future." Proverbs 31:25. If you have recently had a setback, remember Jesus is trustworthy. You are being set up for your NEXT! God has your back, not the world. Turn to Him for the answers.

My friends, today I stand before you not just as April, but as a loyal and loving servant of Jesus Christ. I am here to share with you the call that has gripped my heart—the call to follow, to serve, and to surrender wholly to the One who redeems, restores, and sets apart for His purpose.
The journey of faith is not merely about salvation; it is about discipleship. Many experience redemption, crying out to God at the last breath, and by His grace, they are saved. But I ask you—are you content with just being redeemed, or do you long to follow Jesus as Paul did, with unshakable devotion?
Paul, a chosen servant of the Lord, understood this well. In Romans 1, we see that he was set apart for the gospel, not just to preach salvation, but to proclaim Jesus Himself. The gospel is Jesus. The good news is Jesus. And He calls each of us, not just to believe, but to follow.
Yet, following Christ comes with a cost. Oswald Chambers warns us: Woe unto me if I preach not the gospel! There is a weight, a responsibility, and a battle in the spirit realm that accompanies true discipleship. It is not enough to hear the call—we must heed it.
I have wrestled with this call myself. I have faced the tension between serving God and being pulled by the world—by success, by numbers, by validation. But I have heard the voice of the Lord. He has whispered to me: You work for Me now. You will never have to worry. You are mine.
Like the disciples of old, we must choose. Not everyone was called to leave everything and follow Jesus, but some were. And when the call comes, when He grips your heart, there is no turning back. The world will tempt you with power, wealth, and influence—just as Satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness. But Jesus resisted, and so must we.
God is doing a new thing. He is pruning, shifting, and realigning His people for His purpose. Some relationships, some past supports, have served their season. But God is faithful. He is building a new support team, a new community for the work ahead.
So I ask you today—who is your master? What is your motive? Are you measuring your worth by the world’s standards or by God’s call? If you say yes to Jesus, say it with your whole heart. Step into the call. Be a loyal and loving follower.
Because when you choose Him, when you obey, you will lack for nothing. His provision is sure, His direction is clear, and His promises are unwavering.
The best is yet to come. Will you follow?
Jesus is Trustworthy,
April Foster
**Picture is of me and John walking on the shores of Lake Corpus Christi (means Body of Christ). I was telling John as we were walking that it felt like the shore that Jesus walked with his disciples. As we were walking to the car, a women ran up to us and said she took a picture of us. Thank you to my new friend Irene Ybarra for capturing a beautiful moment of me and my husband walking in the Light of the Son.
