Our little princess has arrived! 👑

✨ Colette Bella Campbell ✨

Born at home on Sept 30, 12 days past her due date. It was a just over 3 hour labor that was intense, magical, transformative, empowering, and one of the most physically and mentally challenging things I’ve ever accomplished in my life. There’s no words to describe the feeling of Josh placing our baby on my chest. We’re so grateful she’s perfectly precious and healthy.

I could not have done this without Josh and the incredible team of women ( @lindseymeehleis @mindbodybabyoc @kelseybains ) that were right there to coach & support me every step of the way. I will be sharing my birth story soon, until then we’re in total bliss with our Baby Coco. 💕

Feeling so much anticipation as my life is about to change big time. There’s so much unknown ahead of me, and as a “do-er” the most challenging part of all of this has been to sit back, trust, and surrender. I keep thinking about who I want to be as a mother, what will she say about me one day, and I’m so grateful that I get to make this choice. She’s already holding me to a higher standard of being. As I’ve been waiting for her this week, I have felt an immense amount of clarity and focus. I can feel myself transcending into a higher level of myself. I’m nesting not only my physical space, but my emotional space too. She’s my ultimate accountability to be the best version of me. I can’t wait to hold her in my arms, look in her eyes, and tell her how happy I am to be her mother. 💗

6 Reasons Why I’m Doing A Homebirth. 🏡 This pregnancy has been an exciting journey of learning the depths and power of my body.

1️⃣ I’ve been met with nothing but positive homebirth experiences, so many women have told me that it was the most empowering and best day of their life, that they want more kids just to give birth again at home. I was shocked, because all I’ve ever seen on tv was the rushing, panting, fear, and panic. And this made me realize…

2️⃣ I want to begin motherhood in a way that is empowering, connects me to my baby and body, and activates my motherly instincts. I’ve spent hours researching the facts of homebirths, and there is something so deep in me that knows this is the safest and best decision for me and my baby, and I look forward to sharing this with my daughter one day.

3️⃣ I want my body to function on it’s own timeline. I dont want to be rushed or adhered to any schedules or in limbo wondering if it’s time to go to the hospital. Complications seem to happen when things are rushed, and it’s taught me to slow down even more, allow the natural process to happen and respect nature’s timing.

4️⃣ I want an unmedicated birth. As someone who doesn’t even take Advil, or wear deodorant, or take birth control, I don’t want the option for it. I've done a lot of mental preparation, like hypnobirthing, reading books, listening to positive birth stories and videos - to stay focused on reaching this goal. I approach everything like an athlete, and I go into any big event with a winner’s mindset, visualizing what I want before it’s happens.

5️⃣ I want personalized care. I don’t want to show up in labor and have a completely different set of staff members. My midwife is @lindseymeehleis and my doula is @mindbodybabyoc and they have empowered me to trust to the natural process of giving birth.

6️⃣ Research proves that a homebirth has less c-section rate, less pain, faster labors, better bonding with baby, less tearing, less hemorrhaging, better breastfeeding, and a more positive experience overall.

I hope this inspires you as much as it has for me, to trust & remember how powerful our bodies are, which is my goal here for this community.🤍

This 38 Weeks! 🤰 Who do you think our baby girl is going to look like more?? 🤔

My favorite thing about Josh is how excited he gets over everything. I tend to over analyze which sometimes prevents me from really enjoying moments, and he always reminds me of the positive. And everyday he says how excited he is about having a baby girl, where sometimes I get lost in thinking how are we going to balance life with a baby when I already feel like life is so busy. But he’ll remind me that we’ll figure it out like we always do. For now, we’re cherishing these last moments together, and sleeping in everyday 😂

Week 12 update!🤰🏼

SWIPE to see my little fishy baby swimming around in my belly. I honestly couldn’t believe it when I saw it. 🫣

Thankfully this week I’m feeling A LOT better. Im better able to take care of myself, and I’m regaining my mental and physical energy. Still taking naps and eating with a nose plug, but there was a while there where I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to make it through!! But phew, here I am, still standing. And stronger because of it.

A couple things that are helping me stay strong:

1️⃣ I’ve started working with a hypnotherapist to help me tune out the negative, focus on the positive, and continue to visualize a happy, healthy pregnancy and birth
2️⃣ I’m reading MIND OVER LABOR, highly recommend!
3️⃣ Eating more healthy fats throughout the day has helped with my energy and sleep.

A mantra I keep reminding myself is that, I was built for this. 💪 It puts the trust back in my body and it helps me worry less. 🙌. Can’t wait for our gender reveal on Saturday!! 💗💙

11 weeks! 🥳 So grateful🤰🏼

I heard first trimester was hard. But I didn’t know it would be THIS hard. I consider myself a strong person, able to push through anything, but for the first time in my life, I feel defeated. Like no matter what I do, all the symptoms will just not go away. A humbling welcome to Motherhood to say the least 🙏 The worst of it is food aversions and everything smelling beyond gross, I have to nap to get through the day, too tired to workout like I used to, painful headaches, and nausea at night. I’m not looking for pity, just sharing what I’m going through, and I know it’s just temporary.

One hack that’s been working like a charm is eating with a nose plug, you have to try it if you’re pregnant - it’s seriously magic!

I know my lesson here is to completely surrender, and give up all control, which for an entrepreneur like me, it’s hard. It feels weird how as soon as you get pregnant its like a computer program just takes over your body and runs the show. Step aside Jacquelyn, you’re not in charge anymore! 😂

I am so truly grateful to be pregnant right now, and I’m sure once I hold my baby in my arms I’ll think, it was all worth it. 👼

Anyways, just thought I share how it’s REALLY going. 🤪 Are you pregnant? We’ll get through this, together!💪
