2024 NFL Kickoff! Hope y'all enjoyed the games! We presented you a landmark case in NFL history on Antitrust: American Needle Inc. v. NFL. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-aqy...

This case dealt with antitrust issues. The Court ruled that the NFL's licensing activities were not exempt from antitrust scrutiny under Section 1 of the Sherman Act. The decision stated that the 32 NFL teams are separate, potentially competing entities when it comes to intellectual property licensing, rather than a single entity.

Dear friends, which past cases' arguments and opinions are you hoping to hear most?

Now we are in between two #SCOTUS terms, I am running out of ideas :(

I was thinking Trump v. Hawaii in 2018 www.scotusblog.com/case-files/cases/trump-v-hawaii…

The United States Constitution, including its 27 amendments, ONLY contains 7,591 words. These 7591 words create and define the United States.

It is hard for me and probably hard for most people to understand what these seven thousand words try to convey. Fortunately the Library of Congress regularly prepared and updated the so-called the Constitution Annotated. It provides the analysis and interpretation of the Constitution. It is based on how the Supreme Court has interpreted the Constitution's provisions. In 2019, the Library of Congress launched constitution.congress.gov/, making the Constitution Annotated available online to Members of Congress, congressional staff, and the public in a digital, easily-searchable format.

I plan to make this available in audio/video format on YouTube so more people can use them to learn and better understand the keystone of the United States.

Here is the first episode of "Constitution in Plain English" on "The Preamble"

Thanks all for your love!

I plan to make videos for these cases in upcoming days, weeks.
Tell me which you'd like to see most and why!

🌟 Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization (2022): This case overturned the landmark Roe v. Wade decision and eliminated the federal constitutional right to abortion in the United States.

🌟 Roe v. Wade (1973): This historic ruling established that the U.S. Constitution protects a woman's right to have an abortion, although this was later overturned by Dobbs v. Jackson in 2022.

🌟 Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission (2010): This controversial decision ruled that the free speech clause of the First Amendment prohibits the government from restricting independent expenditures for political communications by corporations, labor unions, and other associations.

🌟 303 Creative LLC v. Elenis (2023): This case, yet to be decided, will address whether a web designer can refuse to create websites celebrating same-sex marriages based on her religious beliefs, testing the limits of free speech and anti-discrimination laws.

* Colorado: https://youtu.be/YTZ1KmXenPk?si=-qyeZ...

>>> Quoted from the opinion www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/23pdf/23-719_19m2.pd…
[beginning]
A group of Colorado voters contends that Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution prohibits former President Donald J. Trump, who seeks the Presidential nomination of the Republican Party in this year’s election, from becoming President again. The Colorado Supreme Court agreed with that contention. It ordered the Colorado secretary of state to exclude the former President from the Republican primary ballot in the State and to disregard any write-in votes that Colorado voters might cast for him.

Former President Trump challenges that decision on several grounds. Because the Constitution makes Congress, rather than the States, responsible for enforcing Section 3 against federal officeholders and candidates, we reverse.

[ending]
Responsibility for enforcing Section 3 against federal officeholders and candidates rests with Congress and not the States. The judgment of the Colorado Supreme Court therefore cannot stand/

All nine Members of the Court agree with that result.

Our colleagues writing separately further agree with many
of the reasons this opinion provides for reaching it. ...
So far as we can tell, they object only to our taking into account the distinctive way Section 3 works and the fact that Section 5 vests in Congress the power to enforce it. These are not the only reasons the States lack power to enforce this particular constitutional provision with respect to federal offices. But they are important ones, and it is the combination of all the reasons set forth in this opinion—not, as some of our colleagues would have it, just one particular rationale—that resolves this case. In our view, each of these reasons is necessary to provide a complete explanation for the judgment the Court unanimously reaches.

The judgment of the Colorado Supreme Court is reversed.

The mandate shall issue forthwith.
It is so ordered.
