The unstoppable Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer are the well-deserved recipients of this prestigious Aardman award at Slapstick Festival at Bristol Old Vic back in 2015.
Their innovative and seminal work, from Vic Reeves’ Big Night Out, Shooting Stars to House of Fools, has placed them as the undisputed champions of visual comedy over the past three decades. Their unique brand of alternative visual comedy employs surrealism, bizarre tangents, hilarious silliness and slapstick asides.
This was a roller-coaster event, hosted by Marcus Brigstocke with clips and chat plus the onstage presentation of the Aardman Slapstick Award for “outstanding contribution" to visual comedy
