Town & Country magazine have some nice coverage of the best dressed men on the red carpet at the Emmys www.townandcountrymag.com/style/fashion-trends/g62…
But here are the highlights of what I think are the most interesting:
1. Andrew Scott wearing a flamboyant Tux, I note the trendy baggy trousers with some distain.
2. Taylor Zakhar Perez wearing a nice double breasted tux though I think the jacket is too short.
3. Antony Starr wearing a traditional tux but in burgundy.
4. Matt Bomer in an excellent jacket and shirt also in Burgundy/purple.
5. Idris Elba wearing at first glance an interesting suit but there is something happening under that coat... not sure what. Any ideas?

If you ever wanted to know what James Bond would look like as a grandad, look no further.
Pierce Brosnan, ever the great model, wearing clothes that asks the question: What if your suit and sweater had a love child?
He is wearing a suit and coat for Kith an ever popular brand thanks to their excellent marketing and teaming up with Armani and celebrities such as Bryan Cranston, Brian Cox and Steve Buscemi.
What do you think of it?

My wife bought me this lovely necktie for our wedding anniversary. Wore it to our favourite coffee shop for a lunch date. Keoghs makes the best cappuccino and pastries available in Dublin if you're interested. Thanks honey xxxx

Apologies to all. I have had to remove my Ocean's Eleven review for the SECOND time! This is quite unusual as YouTube usually catches any copyright strikes before you upload the video. I removed the offending clip and uploaded it again only to find out there's another clip so I had to remove it again. So I'll re-edit the entire video this time to make sure there are no issues, not even close calls, and then upload it again early next week.
Not a big deal for most of you but a lot of people had taken the time to write some comments so I'm sorry they can't be retained. I'll be far more cautious in the future but sometimes it's not obvious what YouTube will find a problem with.

Robert Pattinson is looking smart in this wool double breasted peaked lapel one button jacket. What do you think of the almost matching pants and the grey t-shirt?

Well Brad Pitt seems to want to keep himself in the headlines with this unusual choice for a suit. At first glance it doesn't seem noteworthy. It's a black double breasted peaked lapel tux. But those boot cut trousers (I don't think I've ever typed boot cut before without word jeans coming after it) are loose and sloppy which is strange for formal suit. The one button is white or pearl and design to catch the eye. But it is definitely a case of fashion over style with the sheer t-shirt he is wearing beneath. Well it is the red carpet, you have to stand out somehow.

Brad & George suited and booted at the Venice film festival and the launch of their new movie Wolfs. I have a fun upcoming sartorial review of these two gentlemen.

Famous French actor and style icon Alain Delon died ages 88. Star of Purple Noon, the first cinematic interpretation of The Talented Mr. Ripley. Never quite making it in American he was huge star in Europe and Asia. And style influence for gentlemen for generations.

A style guide for men on how to dress well inspired by the best dressed men on the screen.
We'll look at how to match suits with shirts to look professional, or cool or relaxed or build a wardrobe to achieve all three. But I want to show you how get the look you want using visuals of the cooler or most professional looking men you'd want to emulate using clips from movies and TV shows because nothing inspires like seeing great clothes worn by someone you admire.
