Today’s the day! My brand new collection ‘The Odyssey of Ophelia’ launches at 2pm GMT over on my website- www.lost-forest.com/
The new limited edition collection is inspired by the love, loss, beauty and tragedy of Shakespeare’s Ophelia depicted in 19th Century Pre-Raphaelites art works, while the colour palette is drawn from the whimsical aqua and jewel-toned colours of Taylor Swifts latest anthology. I also created a limited edition series of art prints too.
I hope you’ll love this collection as much as I do. I’ve been tirelessly working away behind the scenes for weeks on end , and I’m so proud of each and every piece I created. 💖
In other news, due to my work schedule, I haven’t even edited a video as of yet, but I have been filming! I hope I can edit over the next two days and get one uploaded for Sunday. We have a major storm coming in over Ireland today, and we more than likely will lose power, so it’s really up to Mother Nature if I get to upload one on time! For now, I created a cosy autumnal playlist on my homepage, where you can watch all of my previous autumn inspired videos. Remember to give them a thumbs up and subscribe for more.

I have a little surprise for you all! There will be a brand new video out this Sunday at 2pm GMT! I'll try my best to get a video out weekly this month, but I can't promise for sure, as it just comes down to spare time!
This video will feature a long awaited update on the cottage garden, and show the installation of my recent auction find - the 'Three Graces's' bird bath, and also a redoing of my steel water feature, as well as some cutting back, and discovering one or two very intriguing characters in the undergrowth.
There will be freshly made apple crumble for you to enjoy, made from our autumn apple harvest. I'll also have a delicious autumnal breakfast of raspberry and coconut baked oats to indulge in on these colder mornings. Hope you'll join me then, for now, have a wonderful weekend ahead! - Gillian x

Hi Friends! I'll have a brand new video out this Sunday (2PM GMT) to mark the end of summer (sad face)....
As we're entering a new season, I wanted to give the studio a bit of a makeover and reorganisation for a better workflow for when the busy period begins in a few weeks time. There will also be plenty of garden blossom bouquets being made, healthy treats to keep energy levels up and of course Charlie will be helping me as he's back to good health at long last! Hi friends! I’ll have a brand new video out in the coming days for my Irish food history series. So far, I’m currently in the depths of the research and editing stages.
The topic for my next video is an unusual one! Did you know that we had iced coffee in Ireland back as far as the 1930s?! As one of my favourite beverages, this really peaked my interest when I saw an old menu from a state dinner. I wanted to investigate further, but it’s been difficult to find any actual information on the iced coffee itself, so I’ll be using my own interpretation as to how I believe it would have been made and served at these prestigious state events.
I also wanted to create another version that would have been enjoyed by an average Irish person in the 1940s, when coffee essence was widely used in Irish households.
Just like iced coffee, it’ll be short and sweet, but hopefully something you’ll enjoy and learn a bit about Irish culinary traditions. Stay tuned for a launch date by subscribing and turning on post notifications. 💖🥰

It's nearing the end of the week, and what a week it's been! I finally reached 50K subscribers! 🥳🥰
It really means so much to me to have all you dear kindred spirits follow me on my journey. My aim with my channel was to allow the viewer to experience the sights, sounds, and slower pace of life in the countryside. This channel isn't about me, but about the experience each one of you has when you watch it; a sense of calm, a better perspective on problems you may be having, appreciating the simple things, and a cosy corner of the internet to just escape to when the world feels that bit too overwhelming.
So, thank you for watching my videos, giving them a thumbs up, sharing them, and of course for all your wonderful comments- I can't express my thanks enough to everyone who has left kind words on my videos. It is often lonely working as an artist, and on the farm, but when I take my breaks and catch up on the comments (I really try my best to answer them all!), they lift my heart and spirit like you wouldn't believe. I'm truly grateful to have such a beautiful community of friends here.
It's also been a busy week in the studio as I've been finalising a brand new collection 'Beneath the Moon & Stars' (check out my latest Short video to view it). There's been lots of jewellery making, photographing the collection and editing....I'm not sure what day of the week it is at this stage!🫨
However, I did manage to compile footage for a video this Sunday at 2pm. It's a bit hobbled together, but there's plenty of cows, cats and cake- So why not!? I do hope you'll join me then. For now, have a lovely evening friends and see you Sunday! -Gillian x 💖

Hi friends! I have a brand new video coming this Friday at 6pm GMT! This will the first of a new series I'm doing, where I delve into Ireland's rich food history; exploring old techniques, and reviving almost forgotten recipes from the past.
In Friday's video I'll be inviting you into our dairy parlour to gather fresh creamy milk gifted to us by our wonderful cows. I'll then welcome you into our farmhouse to make butter in the traditional Irish way. I'll also be showing you a very easy and much beloved recipe for Irish soda bread- the best accompaniment to our rich, delicious Irish butter.
I'll still be doing my 'day in the life' series once a month. The new schedule will be: a 'day in the life' vlog at the beginning of each month on Sunday at 2pm (GMT), and at the end of the month we will be in the farmhouse kitchen on Friday at 6pm (GMT). *Important: Please turn on notifications when you subscribe, as this is the only way you'll be notified of new videos, as YouTube doesn't notify subscribers even if they are already subscribed*.

Hi friends! It's been a little while since I uploaded a video here, but I'm happy to announce that I'll have a brand new video out this Sunday at 2pm GMT!
I took a small break from YT to concentrate on my business, and get all of my jewellery collections ready for launch (now available in my shop online- linked below), and I've also been learning new videography skills. It's been a very busy few weeks, but I think self improvement and learning new skills to improve my business is always worth taking.
I've lost hundreds of followers since my last episode, but at least I have my Forest Friends who will stick with me, and understand that most YT creators are not robots and do have other obligations. Thank you to everyone who sent me sweet messages, I did try to get the word out in a previous YT post regarding my absence, but as usual, YT doesn't like to show my content to my followers...... 😒
Anyways, I hope you'll enjoy Sunday's video, and fingers crossed I can upload on a more regular schedule again. Hi Friends! I'm sorry I haven't been uploading as regularly as I would have hoped to, but I'm currently very busy in the studio working on three brand new collections! There's a lot of behind the scenes work involved, and my focus has to be shifted to my business for a little while- I hope that's understandable.
