I'm excited to announce the launch of my patreon page, along with the Physics for the Birds zine, Words for the Birds!
A number of you have asked how you can support the channel, but I wanted to offer a fun bonus for those who do. Each month, patreon members will get access to a digital booklet with illustrated segments of my scripts that never made it into videos along with other fun stuff. The first issue is up now!

As you can imagine, these videos take a lot of work, so thank you for always watching and giving such sincere feedback!

Three major accomplishments on Pi Day:
1) My popcorn video reached 314 thousand views!
2) I actually finished my Pi Day video! I finished the research, script, and most of the animations for a different video only to decide that it wasn't exciting enough to finish. I got the pi idea only 3 days ago, so it's been non-stop work since then, but getting a video done in such a short amount of time is a huge boost in confidence (just don't expect me to do it again...)
3) Physics for the Birds reached 50K subscribers! I can't thank you enough for watching. I make these videos because I want people to learn, so when I see comments that say "you made my time in college click", or "this video almost made me cry", or "you'll inspire the next generation of scientists", it keeps me wanting to make more. I'm excited to make more videos, and I want to improve the quality each time. I think that we can get 100K subscribers by the end of the year, if not by summer.
Thank you again for putting your time and focus into watching my videos!

I share things that I get excited about: math, physics, electronics, programming, music -- anything that requires taking things apart. My goal is to explain it simply enough that any 4th grader will be inspired and rigorously enough that any professor will be convinced.
