Merry Christmas! Every year, I get the question as to how I get so excited and enjoy the Christmas season as much as I do. Yes, I've always been this way! I always put up a tree in my bedroom growing up, and I remember the year I found my first bottle brush tree for my bedroom desk. But the season's joy is not only about those decorations. You're a part of my Christmas joy. The excitement you give me in return is what keeps me excited: sharing in these memories and moments, seeing you share my recipes, and sending me pictures of the foods you prepare from my website. All of these things add to the joy. Today will be hard for some. I'll always remember the first years after my dad passed away, but the joy returns over time in a different way. It's Kip's 5th birthday, and this little guy has been through a lot in his life. But I'm continually amazed by his resilience and perseverance. He recently had a few weeks of sickness and had to be hospitalized. I brought him home, and he began to regain his strength and is now back to his bubbly usual self. I'm so lucky to have Kip in my life, as he's my constant companion and garden buddy. Every day I look at Kip and say, "What would I do without you?" Here's to many, many more years!

Hey guys! I know I said I was coming back soon, right after my renovation video. But then summer happened and I got caught up making outdoor garden videos. They're in vertical format (for Instagram and Facebook), so I didn't think they'd work for YouTube. Since it's the year of COVID, I thought... what the heck! Why not put them on YouTube too.
